This restaurant is truly outstanding, offering an extensive menu and drink selection with exceptionally friendly service. The ambiance is welcoming and charming, thanks to the attentive management.

Had their Fish, Peas Chips yesterday and must say that it was excellent. The tender batter on the succulent fish, combined with really tasty flavourful chips must be a first class testament to their chef, as the latter can often be found to be just bland accompaniments.

I stopped by for a coffee during a mid-dog walk. We sat outside, where the staff kindly turned on the heating for us and even brought water for my dog. The service was provided by a friendly young man, and I would definitely come back again. And the coffee was excellent too! Speisekarte ansehen

Excellent food, we’ve never had anything less in here. The service can be slow when it’s busy, and it’s difficult to get up the bar for drinkers stood around it. With table service, NuBar would be perfect. Oh, and the music is too quiet a pity that they no longer have Kenny Bridges; he is One of the areas best DJs who always lifts the atmosphere.

Not a place I would normally visit, sat on the side of a main road watching people going in and out of the takeaway nearby but joining friends for a meal I was surprised at the quality (had the sea bass risotto and my partner had a pizza with fries) the service was good and prices although on the highs side matched the quality of food. Will definitely be back to sample more of the menu

I met my friend for lunch and although I am a meat eater I had the vegan chilli con carne served with rice and vegan tortillas. Absolutely delicious and so well presented, would most definitely have this meal again. Even my friend who had the chicken Kiev said she would get my meal next time. The staff here are always friendly and helpful. Looking forward to coming here again soon and having the vegan meal again. Speisekarte ansehen

Here, the menu, food quality, pricing ambience are, as always, excellent. In addition, I must single out Ross, who attended to my friend`s special needs extremely well, and with the nicest smile. The latter had come out of an extended hospital stay with a poor appetite, so Ross without hesitation re-packed his uneaten lunch in a box carrier to take home enjoy at his leisure. It is much to the management`s credit given the excellent and attentive staff that they have employed.

I have eaten at Nu Bar a few times and the food and service is always consistently good. However, I must comment on the white wine list. We have the usual offering of Pinot, Chardonnay and Sav Blanc that you usually get which is fine (although not really a fan of any of these) but obviously they are the most popular so understand why they are always featured . But why do the further options include another Pinot, two more Sav Blancs plus a Sancerre (which is a posh Sav Blanc)?? How about a Chenin Blanc, a Viognier or a White Bordeaux for a bit of variety? Otherwise, another enjoyable visit.

Our experience at this restaurant was not great. There were three of us in our group. One of us enjoyed their meal, one of us found a hair in their food (which was replaced), and I only had a few bites of my meal as it did not taste good. Despite a nearly full plate of food being cleared from our table, no one asked if everything was okay. In my opinion, if a restaurant can't even do good fish and chips, something is seriously wrong, and finding hair in your food is unacceptable. The waiting staff should always be checking if everything is okay, especially when a plate with lots of food on it is being taken away. Overall, our experience was disappointing and a waste of money.
