Ocean Lounge - Speisekarte

Yesterday, I had a delightful lunch with my friend at this restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be returning soon.

Popped in for lunch and ordered the steak. If your going to ask how I'd like it done then attempt to cook it that way. Not only was it as dry as a bone it was tasteless. Only positive was the friendly bar staff.

Visited on a Sunday lunchtime, Excellent meal at a more than reasonable price with very friendly and helpful staff who it felt could not do enough for you. Good range of starters and main dishes available as well. Very clean facilities, Speisekarte ansehen

The staff here a superb. They are very helpful and cater carefully for my gluten issue. They did me a huge breakfast including gluten free toast. It was lovely. I will return frequently. It’s well priced and well situated, spacious and good value.

We were delighted to discover this restaurant for lunch. The staff were extremely polite and promptly took our drinks order and served us. The prices were very reasonable considering the portion size and quality of the food. Our food arrived swiftly and was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful lunch!

We visited the Lounge for our Book Group Christmas lunch. The manager went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The table was beautifully decorated and set with Christmas crackers etc. and our post lunch coffees were served with little amaretti biscuits. These little touches make all the difference! Visited the Lounge twice during a 4 day break to South Sheilds, first time was for a couple of drinks, friendly bar staff and nice welcome, obviously prices are cheaper up North, we paid £6.00 for a 175 ml Wine and pint of Larger, usually £8 odd in Salisbury. The second visit was yesterday for a couple more drinks and an early evening bite to eat, I ordered Rump Steak with chips and normal trimmings while my wife had a Chicken curry, meal turned up about 15 minutes later, the food was nice and hot and both of us agreed that the quality and taste of the food was very good, We would certainly recommend the Lounge to anyone in the area.

We came here for lunch on a Saturday. From the outside, we thought it might be pricey as it looks so nice, but when we checked out the menu, we were pleasantly surprised!! There are plenty of choices on the menu, but being by sea, we both opted for fish dishes. The portions are generous, and really good value for money. The staff were friendly and efficient, even though they seemed to be slightly short staffed (I suspect someone had maybe called in sick). The food came out quickly and was delicious. The drinks are reasonably priced. We don't have kids, but if we did, we would bring them here as there is a mix and match children's menu for £3.95 (including a drink). Will definitely come back...

During my visit to South Shields, I decided to try The Lounge on Ocean Road after finding the other restaurants to be very busy. I was pleasantly surprised by the value, friendliness, and ambiance of this bistro. The price of £8.55 for chicken tikka masala with pitta bread and chips was reasonable, and while it may not have been the best meal I've ever had, it was still decent. The tikka masala was hot and spicy, just as I expected. I also enjoyed a pint of Aspalls cider for £4, which was a nice accompaniment to my meal. The friendly lady behind the bar, the cozy mood lighting, BBC News on the television with subtitles, and the clean toilets were all additional highlights of my dining experi... Speisekarte ansehen
