On a cold night you expect to get some warmth from inside a bar. This was cold and we needed to keep coats on and still felt cold then. We used the candles on the table to warm our hands. With the prices they charge for drinks you would think they could afford heating

Terrible experience. Long delay and then served burnt pizza. In fairness they replaced one of the meals but that just meant we didn’t eat as a family together. Not busy at the time. Table of four plus our table of three so no excuses. Too much competition around to be this poor.

Waited 20 minutes just for someone to take our drinks order whilst others got served before us. Gave up in the end and left Young servers with no hospitality skills. For the prices they charge I expect better. Can't see them lasting in business with this level of unprofessionalism. People are spending their money wisely now days and expect good service as a minimum. Speisekarte ansehen

Bar staff could not be less interested in delivering a good service. Bar was half empty, staff poorly trained and Bar manager utterly disinterested. Error on drinks served and young lad sent to deal with it whilst manager remained behind the bar. This used to be a fabulous place and the sky high prices were acceptable. So many better places to spend time and money. They lost a very loyal customer yesterday!

Genuinely has gone so downhill. clearly underage drinkers in the, there in large groups and don’t seem to pay for drinks as there friends are behind the bar whilst only being 17. As soon as you step in there is no welcome and in terms of service little to none. For two drinks we had to wait half an hour and it was just so disappointing. There seemed to be no management due to the lack of delegation of the team. Wouldn’t come here again.

we had an awful experience in this place! the manager phil i think his name was has no customer service skills and is beyond rude, constantly on his phone while we were all waiting for drink and all other staff were stood behind the bar eating and chatting. the fact they have a tip jar is laughable as it was definitely not tip worthy service! would never come again and advise to stay well away from both oktogon and their sister bar skogen Speisekarte ansehen

Went here last night for a drink as it used to be good. We found it to be very expensive, lacking in atmosphere and soulless. The three young servers looked incredibly disinterested and one of them ate a pizza in front of everyone from behind the bar. I’m afraid that this once vibrant and different place to drink is in real danger of going out of business. If a cocktail and a pint costs £18, you need to offer a lot more. A real shame. We won’t be returning.

Saturday 15th Oct I was shocked at the really bad attitude of the barman. At 7.30 pm I went with my wife and daughter for a quick drink, the bar was busy as Loki next door had a private party. The barman asked abruptly have you got a table, I responded I hadn’t and he proceeded rudely telling me I couldn’t have a drink. I said we are happy to stand as I normally do he started raising his voice getting very argumentative telling me I have never stood in the bar calling me a liar! These individual needs proper training in customer skills or totally reprogramming in how to talk to customers After all I was with my wife and 20yr old daughter just wanting a buys drink. I'd had difficulty booking and had inquired about gluten free but after 2 Facebook messages and an attempted phone call, I got confirmation of the booking and that gluten free dough would be there for a friend. On ordering the pizza, the server said he needed to check about the gluten free dough. I hadn't had chance to explain I'd requested it already. He then was at the bar area for a little while investigating. I ended up going to explain I'd had confirmation of the gluten free dough, only to be told he knew that was the case but it had been used unfortunately!
