"We have been frequenting the Grainger market lately and enjoy supporting small local businesses when we can. We have been to Olivers a few times and had no complaints - the service was quick and I especially enjoy their peach melbas! However, today was a different experience. It was busy, but not busier than other times we have visited. We found a table and waited to be served. After a while, we noticed a man who arrived after us had already been served and had his coffee. I asked a server if we could order coffees, but was told to wait for another server with an iPad. This server proceeded to take orders from other tables nearby, ignoring our attempts to get her attention. Eventually, we decided to leave and sadly won't be returning."

The staff are very warm and welcoming. Lovely to see people support the local ventures, in the heard of Grainger Market.

This was our second visit to this restaurant and once again, it did not disappoint. The breakfast was excellent, as was the coffee. The service was quick. Thank you.

Plumped for the Irish Breakfast. Nothing too much trouble. All cooked fresh. Staff polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend. Better than what was offered in the hotel. Speisekarte ansehen

We both enjoyed our delicious soup and sandwich, as well as our cups of tea. We visit this restaurant often when we're shopping in Newcastle. The staff are very friendly and provide excellent service.

Had a wonderful breakfast at just over a fiver each. All served really hot and washed down with three cups of tea out of our pot with extra water. Could see my face in the cutlery Service great and would definitely come again, maybe when it's warmer.

Went here today with my mam and can honestly say the staff are the most friendly people in the market, they go above and beyond to make you feel like a valued customer and their soup isn’t too bad either cannot fault the place and will definitely be back. Good quality and value for money. Speisekarte ansehen

The food at this restaurant is incredible. I tried the Northumbrian breakfast since they were out of the Irish one. It was reasonably priced and the quality was fantastic. The food was served piping hot, although the fried eggs were a bit overdone. Despite that, I will definitely be coming back again.

We stumbled upon this beautiful little gem of a restaurant while walking by and decided to stop in for breakfast. I ordered a full English breakfast with a pot of tea, while my partner opted for a large sausage and speckbunke with a diet cola. The total came to £10.90 and the food was delicious. The sauces were particularly tasty and the staff was friendly. We can't wait to go back!

"The place seems unprofessionally run. The staff all look like they could do with a bath. No overalls are worn and their clothes are all of the type that many would wear to lounge around the house in . Several have longer hair and beards but don’t wear any kitchen p.p.e. The decor is shabby and I wondered what kind of hygiene rating they would have. Although not busy, the staff seemed to be disorganised, falling over eachother and lacking in training. They seemed to handle the food in an inexperienced, clumsy fashion. The only tool I saw being used was a pizza peel for taking the pizza in and out of the oven. On all other occasions the food was handled. I didn’t notice any hand washing or alcohol gel in evidence. The menu is quite limited and uninspiring. 2 of the 6 pizza choices include chicken which Italians would argue is definite no no! All pizzas are reheated to order which eliminates the possibility of customisation. I don’t believe the restaurant would stand out in many European countries, as pizza in general is of a much higher standard than that in the UK. In spite of the above, The basic pizza is excellent in taste (even though it is all re-heated). And for this reason it is worth a visit. Compared to other uk pizza restaurants which are typically serving absolute garbage, the food is way out in front. If you can tolerate the negatives I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the pizza. However with a bit of effort, this place could be transformed into something truly amazing."
