Ordered takeaway on phone and collected as an hour on delivery, all hot and all very tasty, over £25 so got 4 free mini spring rolls, one of the best in Basingstoke.

During the lockdown, we opted to order Chinese food from Oriental Pearl in Basingstoke. Once again, it exceeded our expectations with ample portions of delicious food. Highly recommend trying it out.

We placed an order for food online and waited for two hours with no updates. When we called to follow up, the staff showed no concern and informed us that it would be an additional 20 minutes. Today is the first time we have used this takeaway and we are not impressed. Mongolian lamb delivered without plum sauce, sweet and sour chicken balls delivered without sweet and sour sauce. Chicken balls in a thick doughy batter instead of being crisp. Chips dry and cold. Won't be using them again

Definitely one of the best Chinese takeaways in Basingstoke. Only downside is that parking to collect is not easy however once you do manage this the food will not disappoint. Be wary when ordering that you will be asked if you want a large portion size which is the same size as you normally get elsewhere but this is not something to mark down on, just be aware when ordering

I work at a care home and recently ordered 43 takeout meals for our residents. The food was delicious, plentiful, and had a great balance of meat and vegetables. The quality was excellent. I have also ordered from this restaurant twice this week for my family, and personally, I believe it is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever tried. Their Malaysian dishes are also amazing. Having traveled to Asia multiple times in the past, I am thrilled to have found a local takeaway that offers authentic, high-quality food. I highly recommend it! Speisekarte ansehen

Been a regular user of this takeaway since it re-opened with new owners and it is without doubt and with knowledge of all other takeaways in the area, the best. Fabulous meal last night .mixed Sambal was just gorgeous. Chicken curry was excellent and the prawn crackers are thick and oil less and very crispy. Other recommends are the huge quantity of balls in the sweet and sour dishes and all the rib dishes are excellent, with the proper long meaty ribs and not the RIP off small ones as done elsewhere What's really mpressive is that the food is absolutely consistent week to week.Be careful though as the portions are generous.

We used this Take-away 3 times now, first two times couldn't fault it at all and were happy but the third time wasn't anywhere near as good as the order was 50% wrong. Ordered Sweet Sour ribs and got Sweet Chilli instead which was very spicy. Also ordered 1/4 Crispy Duck complete with pancakes etc. but only got the Duck and Spring Onions, now pancakes or Cucumber. Will make sure we get the right things next time. Also, there are double yellow lines and a restricted zone outside the shop, there is a carpark 10 yards/meters away to park in but cost 50p if you go before 6 pm so use it as this is a narrow road with regular buses including late night time!!!

I always used to go to this takeaway when it had its previous owners, like anything t had become a bit old and tired. When it closed for a refit and change of owners it was welcome news. After a few teething issues that it would be fair to go into, after all I have now had two very positive family takeaways and very much enjoyed the food experience. Welcoming and friendly staff, clean and nicely laid out waiting area, well presented menus, good food, reasonably priced. The Oriental Pearl ticked the boxes for me especially as the portions are very generous, I made the mistake of over order the 1st visit, but last night cracked it.
