Lovely place, staff is semi friendly. The afternoon tea was nice but very sweet.

A charming place just right for afternoon high tea. The decor is old world chic and the tea and treats delicious- the scones were served warm! The service attentive and friendly.

I booked for a breakfast meeting and ended up staying six hours and invited 3 guests for a lunch meeting. The team here are wonderful and the wine list is current and on trend. Great restaurant for business meetings and casual dining. Will be back for more business meetings. Great experiance.

This place has the best breakfast. It's in a small hotel near Oxford Street. It's reasonably basic but there is something about it. Only been there for breakfast to be honest but been like 40 times and was happy with food and service each and every time. Highly recommend for a chilled breakfast

on Wednesday evening I was very kindly invited by team in penguin to her artistic vegetarian cooking in the evening. pinguin publish all kinds of wonderful cookbooks and food writers, but this was their first evening concentrated entirely on delicious, vegetable food. as someone who cooks and eats a lot of veggie, even when I eat meat in my diet, I was very happy to go with and some tips that this especially convenient before the national vegetarian week next week when I go to veggie the whole week. what better way to be inspired? Champagne afternoon tea We were given some vouchers for the champagne afternoon tea here as birthday presents and I'm slightly disappointed. Service is very disorganised, front house staff looked like she was annoyed to be there. The afternoon tea cakes tasted like they were bought from Tesco. Scones were nice though and that's about it. Apparently this place is good for cocktails but if you're thinking about afternoon tea, think twice, 35 pounds each not including service. Me and my friend had to go for some more food afterwards cos we didn't want to eat any of the food there.

there are so many funny and beautiful things to do here in london. we are totally pampered when it comes to bars, pubs, restaurants, museums, art galleries, theatre. Of course, when people visit the city, it is always nice to do a few beautiful things together. as my shady friend emily said that she went to the city for a weekend and that she would be able to stay with us and spend some time together if she wasn't otherwise engaged I was thrilled and determined to bring a few funny things into the diary. We are partial to an afternoon tea and have attended many. This was a very good one and we did enjoy it very much. We had a lovely table at the back of the restaurant and our waitress was lovely. The ambience and the decor in the restaurant was excellent and the location for our theatre visit was perfect. On the whole the experience was excellent and we would return. The scones were probably the best we 've had for a long time. We all agreed they were delicious. So light inside with a fine crust on the outside. Bit disappointing we had to share the jam and cream just give everyone their own to avoid the have you had enough? or pass the cream scenarios. The sandwiches were delicious too, but...
