This is a pub that is worth a short drive for a meal. However, the dining area in the back lacks atmosphere compared to the rest of the establishment.

I regret giving this restaurant 3 stars, as it was once a beloved spot for my entire family. We would often gather in groups of 15 or more to enjoy a nice walk through Bolton before dining.

Sunday lunch was delicious, generous portions the Sunday roast for 2 could easily have fed 3 adults. Staff were very attentive and meals served quickly. Excellent valie for money, well worth a visit.

This restaurant is great for a sunny day out with fascinating landscape and gorgeous food. Staff were welcoming towards us and service was fantasticles. Would greatly recommend. Only negative was the small car park and the other option is a steep walk up.

Staff quite rude, as we sat in a reserved table, no sign what so ever on table. Ordered food at bar, Left no tip, Mushy peas just about warm, Chips had been cooked lots of times, all hard and dark brown, fill of fat, just had them left over, and put them on my plate to get rid of them. Fish was just OK 2 mins longer would of been better, Lemonade was nice

I hit this lovely country pub twice in one day last week. Lunch with girlfriends and then date night! Both time slots were gorgeous. Great location, sun was out! Friendly locals, lovely food and cold drinks. Staff on both shifts super friendly. Shout out to Sky our very smiley waitress on the afternoon shift, a real sweetie despite the hot weather and busy beer garden. Can't recommend this country pub enough!
