"a dner yesterday in love with my husband's birthday. I chose this restaurant for comment. a bad smell of the street welcomes us, it dissipates after a while, okay. but it is only 40 minutes after installing it (we had a reservation that the server brings us the fun mouth (dlicious). no order taken or drink, no menu. we planned to take a cocktail at the apritif with the share of the tapas board but we gave up. Finally, the water carafe arrives, ouf ! and the basket of breads (on which we threw ourselves)We were finally served 1 hour after our arrival, damage, it's a bit long ! and yet, server hyper smiling, agrable, report qualit prices excellent, beautiful aperitif, beautiful dco, cosy atmosphere, and excellent cuisine. We didn't have the courage to order a dessert, and we don't care, can we have a bad night? A missing server? We were too discreet? It's really a shame, my husband blows his candles when he came home."

"Pas d'énormes surprises en ce qui concerne l'originalité des plats mais justement on n'y va pas vraiment pour ça, ou alors c'est qu'on ne sait pas ce qu'on veut. On a beau croire connaître la cuisine traditionnelle, c'est toujours utile de se faire une piqure de rappel de temps en temps et ce restaurant est bien là pour ça. Le cadre est très sympa, ambiance déco entre deux-guerres sans faire trop musée. Donc cadre chaleureux sans prétention.On sent que les recettes sont à la fois bien respectées et bien maîtrisées. L'andouillette était fraîche, non grasse. Très bonne soupe à l'oignon. Le service est fait avec plaisir et on devine qu'il en va de même pour la cuisine. Je pense que c'est un restaurant bien fréquenté par des habitués, il a l'air d'avoir une solide réputation sans être trop excessif sur les prix. Je vous le conseil vivement si cela fait longtemps que vous n'êtes pas allé dans un traditionnel lyonnais. Il dépasse la plupart des bouchons "à touristes" de Lyon."

"je croyais avoir déposer un avis, mais oubli ... je ne veux pas laisser passer, car nous avons vraiment passer une super soirée d'anniversaire en février 2017 : de la VRAIE cuisine italienne, vins italiens également, décor vintage trop marrant, bref à refaire. Mais la prochaine fois nous ne prendrons qu'un plat car c'est aussi hyper copieux"

"very good restaurant super reception. Very nice waitress. The dishes are very good. 3 stars because we were disappointed with the small quantities served. for my part I took dessert flat entry to the map for about 45 euros and at this price I think that we should be served in reasonable and sufficient quantities. I was hungry again. It's not normal. I hope that management will see that opinion and that it will question it."

"We stayed overnight near Villefranche and found this charming restaurant on trip advisor. We thought the satnav had taken us to the wrong place when we drove onto the trading estate but there it was. La Table de Maxime is nicely furnished and we were warmly greeted by the owner we were too early as he doesn't open til 7.00 but we were offered a drink on the terrace. The choice on the menu for each course was small good for us though as we eat most things and it made the choice easy. We had the samosas to start excellent I had prawns and my husband had steak, perfectly cooked. The accompanying vegetables were really good a vegetable parcel with the steak and quinoa with celery, peas and asparagus with the prawns together with a delicious sauce. In all, a very good meal and two empty plates. We were the only two customers not usual from what I can gather but it meant that the owner/chef gave us his time after the meal and we had a good conversation (his English is much better than our French! . All in all, a good evening and a great meal. The miserable exchange rate meant it was quite expensive at around 100 euros with tip for two courses each (we skipped dessert plus water, glass of champagne and two beers, but that's not the restaurant's fault Brexit has hurt our pocket badly this year on our annual trip driving down to the south of France!"
