Paul's Golden Chippie

The chips were gross - I can't believe they were even served. They were a dark brown color and looked nothing like the picture on the website. What a waste of money! I won't be returning.

Lovely food. At times you have to wait a little for your order so better to ring this in and collect it. I have been coming here for years but I think over the last 2 years it has improved and is consistent. One of the best chippies I think

Ordered delivery, person taking orders said my postcode didn't have my address on that postcode??? 1 hour 20 minutes later no food, rang to check was told delivery was in our street, 10 minutes later still no food..cancelled. terrible service!!! Speisekarte ansehen

Appalling food at obscene prices!! The old 'recooked ' chips were appalling (at £2.35 a portion! , full of black bits. Reminded me of chips as a kid, when Old potatoes were at the end of their life (Before the new potatoes were in season were absolutely 'Awful ' Never Again!!

The food was terrible. We ordered haggis that was spoiled. The customer service, which was provided by the manager, was awful. We did not receive a refund and do not plan on returning. The quality has significantly declined. Instead, I recommend trying Top Fellas for delicious food and friendly staff.

Have used Paul’s for years however the food has gone downhill and on numerous occasions when we have pre ordered the food has turned up around 2 hrs early and has been sent back when it did arrive at its correct time our fish was dripping with fat Seemed like it had been thrown back into the fryer discussing this used to be the place to go but we will not be using again Speisekarte ansehen

Telephoned, as Paul's where taking orders for the elderly , both our parents are over 90 yrs ,,my card payment was slow to go through , the delivery driver was shouted at ,and told to put fone down and cancel order I heard this conversation clearly , ,from the supervisor , so rude , I asked to order again ,but was refused , , foul mouthed lady , went to golden bull ,jarrow ,excellent service and quality

I usually never complain, but I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered a half-and-half pizza with bolognaise and donner toppings. Unfortunately, the donner side had garlic on it when I specifically asked for no onions. The pizza was also very soggy. To make matters worse, the delivery driver dropped the garlic sauce, claiming it wasn't spilled, but it ended up being all over the place once I opened the packet. Overall, I was very unhappy with the quality of the food and service.

Haven't been to Paul's for a while and thought would give them a try. Wish I hadn't as they messed my order up and some of the food was cold and greasy. Missed a bag of chips off the order and the donor kebab consisted of cold kebab meat with a pitta bread, nothing else no salad or anything. It was only an after thought from the person serving to ask if I wanted any sauce. I then asked for 2 small tubs of garlic to which I was given 1 large as they didn't have any small tubs made up. The fish although my wife says tasted nice was drenched in grease. Won't be going back anytime some. I'm afraid. Speisekarte ansehen
