"Passing on the way back from Skipton, fancied a Sunday roast and saw this was on Tripadvisor as highly rated so took a chance and glad we did. The tables were clean and service quick, a nice girl with blonde hair and braids served us and was very efficient. Our food arrived on large plates, not much of any one veg but it was surprisingly filling, the lamb was falling off the bone, gravy so rich and flavoursome, broccoli sweet and perfectly cooked, parsnips so sweet, the yorkshire was large and roasties crispy. Could have done with a little more mash and puree but it was nice and as I say very filling, the whole dish was an autumnal seasonal delight created with good ingredients and thought to create a rich and flavoursome dish."

"The menu had a decent variety, though it wasn’t particularly extensive and I was surprised not to see a specials menu. I chose the fish and chips with garden peas, while my friend ordered the chicken and leek pie after enjoying a starter of creamy garlic mushrooms. The portion sizes were impressive; the fish was one of the largest I've encountered in a pub or restaurant, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The chips were tasty, but a few were quite thick and slightly undercooked. For dessert, I opted for the chocolate orange cheesecake. It was delicious, but given the price, I felt the portion could have been larger. Unfortunately, I can't say whether I would return, as it seems this establishment is set to close in 2023. Based on my experience, I doubt that the closure has anything to do with the food quality."

"visited here on a sunny Sunday, who had gone with our four young children and dogs of barrowford, we ran late, but the dame was friendly and understanding on the phone. when we arrived, we ordered from the vegetarian and vegan menu, which had some...loving options, we tried the miso tofu, tempura vegetables, hummus and pitta, beer broken banana blossoms goujons and a chopped mushroom and bead of wobbles, next to a vegetarian frying dinner. the food was delicious, cheap and our dog was allowed to join us in the restaurant. the service was fast and efficient. will definitely be visited again."

"3 of us visited today after I found it on Google we had been to boundary mill and I for one needed food and a beverage. Good menu selection along with specials and a good drinks menu also. I had a pint on bread and butter something or other very nice. Food wise I had the burger with the extra bacon and cheese because why wouldn't you. The wife had a BLT and we both asked for garlic mayo for our chips. Food was very good served with a smile and all hot the mayo more like a homemade alioli very nice but defo for the garlic lover. Mother in law had a courgette and thyme soup, all well presented. I finished with a black coffee which I have to say was one of the best I've had in a restaurant bar ever. Hot and strong in a good sized cup (not a bowl, I hate those things coffee goes cold way too quickly) So if your in the area give it a go friendly smiling staff great food and drink in nice surroundings."
