The Penllwyndu is truly one of a kind. The staff and locals are welcoming, and the food is delicious. Its tucked away location makes it feel like a hidden gem.

Amazing food, we were travelling a long way and found this pub on the way to our Airbnb. We were surprised with the welcome, the people, the food everything was just amazing. Would recommend 10 out of ten times this place

Visiting the Penllwyndu may well be one of the highlights of your holiday. If you like a pub with a cosy warm atmosphere with friendly locals and staff, then this is the place for you. Good hearty food and great beer is part of the experience and I dare you not to put a pound in the duke box.

Ate here with two friends whilst on holiday in Llechryd. We all had the same starters (garlic mushrooms) and the same main (fish pie) and everything was freshly cooked and delicious. The landlord was entertaining in between cooking our dinner and the other staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

What a great discovery! During our family holiday in the area, we decided to have a Sunday lunch. After doing some research, we found this pub with great reviews. It definitely lived up to our expectations. Four adults and two children all enjoyed a delicious roast beef lunch with dessert. The food was homemade, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The staff were incredibly friendly as well. While the pub's decor may be a bit rustic, the quality of the food more than made up for it. Who cares about the decor when the food is this good! So glad we called in here on our way back up towards Newquay after a day out down around Cardigan. Real locals pub with nice atmosphere and the food really good. We had some excellent Welsh steaks cooked so well by the landlord. Followed by a lovely toffee apple bread and butter pudding. A very pleasant and welcoming landlord with an equally lovely barmaid/waitress. Pub with an interesting history too with a lovely stained glass window in the entrance door from the car park. Well done and thank you Just wish I could have had more than a shandy as real ales were on offer.

I usually prefer home-cooked Sunday dinners, but we decided to try this pub based on its good reviews and proximity to our holiday rental. The staff were excellent and the customer service was top-notch. We had a choice of pork or beef, and when I couldn't decide, they offered both options which was perfect. I don't eat vegetables, so they offered extra potatoes which I happily accepted. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, which were all home-cooked and delicious. We also shared two homemade desserts that were fantastic. The prices were very reasonable, the customer service was great, and the staff were friendly. I highly recommend this place.

We called in to Penllwyndu on 21.02.2022 and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food was of a really good quality chilli, chicken curry and beef/mushroom casserole but the stand out feature of this pub is the warmth and hospitality of the two gentlemen running the place, one in the kitchen and one in the bar. The regulars in the bar were a very friendly bunch, offering a warm welcome, but the landlords were fantastic. They made us feel very welcome, checked that everything was in order with our food and spent a few minutes chatting, passing the time of day and generally being lovely hosts This is not an easy place to find, especially in the dark, but I would highly recommend that you make the...
