"Really disappointed with our latest visit to the restaurant! We visited for Valentine’s Day thinking we were going to have a lovely meal out at one of our favourite places who was I kidding?! We were welcomed by the manager, who asked someone to seat us. One of the girl waitresses took our drinks order we also mentioned we were ready to place our order, she replied “that’s fine I’ll go get Rodger” … why on earth does he have to do everything when you have staff there to do the simple things like that? The managers trying to welcome people as they come in, seat people, take orders and what not. It just wasn’t working in my opinion, especially on a busy night like Valentine’s Day! We had our starter, along with first round of drinks. I ordered a second cocktail to go along with my main. Our mains came out, no drink to be seen. Finished our mains and the waiter asked if we would like another drink? I said no thanks, I did order one about 35mins ago but I’ve sat here and watched you all serve other tables drinks and not came back with mine, can I just cancel that please?! He went order to Rodger, told him to which he came over and made a big scene at our table in front of the whole restaurant. Which was mortifying to say the least! I got worked up, upset and embarrassed and my partner was angry and annoyed too. Instead of waiting until we left to address matters, he made a point of coming to our table and making a big fuss?! He’s so loud and annoying, everyone could hear what was going on. I was so embarrassed and angry to say it was an understatement. We decided to have dessert, to which he decides to come and slam another pot of caramel sauce on my plate whilst I’m eating my dessert and walks off "

What a lovely Mother’s Day meal at Prego today. Each course was exceptional and service was excellent. Roger was friendly as usual and even selected an appropriate wine, off the wine list, which complemented the meal perfectly. I had forgotten how wonderful Prego is.

I have been to Prego many times since it first opened. Food is always tasty but on recent visit on a busy Saturday night myself and rest of my group felt portion size had reduced considerably. Prawn dish had very small portion of rice and pasta dish again considerably smaller than a few years ago. Pizzas a reasonable size. Desserts also noticeably smaller than they used to be. After a £65 pp bill (wine included) the consensus of group was sadly we did not get value for money and would think again about returning.
