Radcliffes Cafe - Speisekarte

I absolutely adore this restaurant. I visited for lunch on Saturday, March 18th at 2pm and the weather was nice enough for us to sit outside. The table service was friendly, the beer was great, and the currywurst was delicious! I would definitely recommend this place.

We went to Radcliffe's because of the recommendations in the guest book of the holiday let that we were staying in. We weren't disappointed. Both the sausage and bacon sandwiches with added extras were delicious. Good coffee to go with as well even though for my taste the flat white could have been a bit stronger. If you like strong coffee get an extra shot added! Definitely recommended.

we had breakfast here because other caffes were busy or closed. eating was a good quality, but a bite is expensive. I think caffes have slightly increased due to covid prices. the opposite is also on the rise, so more visitors means more demand. we had cooked breakfast. as I said, food quality was good. we went by at night and it was half full. beer was per pint. it was mainly German beer.

All the ingredients are there but I felt it missed the mark somehow. Decent if small menu, interesting drink selection but the food was average, and in my opinion overpriced for what it was £13 for wurst and fries felt a lot). Dirty fries sounded awesome but the cheese sauce tasted mostly of mustard so just didn’t deliver. We didn’t try them but the savouries on the counter looked tasty if we did come back would maybe stick to these and drinks ! Rather clinical atmosphere. Staff are lovely super friendly, and big fan of the dog friendliness.

We decided to go for a drink on the way home as we had been for a walk around the harbour. There was 8 of us, it was my birthday. The rude obnoxious man said that they couldn’t fit us in, even though there was clearly enough space to accommodate us. He suggested we sat outside, it’s was freezing. My sister thought he was joking and said “come on, we can sit over there”, he replied “you can sit on the floor!”. Customer service is clearly not his forte rude and obnoxious! Needs to have some training of chose a different career path! Not the 1st time we have encountered this. We are all local from Amble, not that that should make any difference!!

Unfortunately, when we tried to enter the restaurant, a rude and obnoxious man told us they couldn't accommodate us, despite there being plenty of space available. last november convened for breakfast while they stayed in a holiday home and it was just before the commemorative Sunday. the music played and it seemed pretty. I have a table and our drinks have come fast. then I decided to go outside to pay my respect where it was quiet for the minutes, as it was just about once I sat a coworker who rushed after me and asked if everything was in order.
