"Last did a review of Relish Coffee shop in 2015 but been coming here since it opened!! Love the coffee and regularly buy their beans as well for home consumption. They have now expanded into what was the hairdresser next door where they sell coffee machines, accessories, crockery and of course their wonderful array of bags of coffee from most of the coffee regions around the world. The cafe also has more tables and new stools in the window to watch the world go by whilst drinking the coffee!! Come the spring no doubt the pavement tables and chairs will be back out as well."

The gaffer in charge wss quite abrupt and curt. Didn't see why it ought to be really. The food was ok but definitely not worth a second visit am afraid. Curt demeanour from the boss has meant never again.

Thought would try this out as people at work said it was worth a visit. Sorry to say it has gone down hill. My coffee to take away was just warm and weak. Not for me(Greggs coffee much better| and cheaper)

Came across this lovely place on our road trip up the north east coast. Lovely and welcoming staff offering beautiful food. Husband said it was the best latte he ever did have : Thankyou Bonus point for being dog friendly

Tucked around the corner from the Spanish City, this place is a little gem of a coffee shop. Go here if you like proper barista coffee and a wam welcome lovely guy who runs the place will chat to you because he’s genuine and enjoys his job. Also nice toasties and rolls freshly prepared.

Found this coffee shop by chance on a weekend visit to Whitley Bay, so pleased we did! It's dog and human friendly and serves great coffee! Oh and amazing breakfast rolls. It's small but has outside seating and takeaway. Lovely friendly staff too. So good we delayed heading home to go back again.

If you want to be served by young girls completely lacking any social or customer service skills, then this is the place for you! To order my drink, and be stared at blankly, then laughed at, was the high point of my visit. Any time I need to be brought down to earth and kept humble, I’ll go to Relish Coffee in Whitley Bay.

Waited ages for 2 ham cheese and onion relish panini. Wed finished our drinks when food came. £5 each for the panini tiny piece of ham couldn't see any cheese just the onion relish. Very poor value. A few tortilla chips with it so dry. Used the toilet couldn't get in because there was a bag in the way. No water coming out of the tap. Fortunately I had wipes and hand gel with me. Ii like to use local small businesses but certainly will not return to this one. It will be Greggs next time. Very very disappointing. Spoilt a nice sunny morning walk.
