"Good reception by the boss. Book before coming because the chef who is the cook takes only the reservations because he cooks his kitchen at the minute when the guests arrive in decay. It offers only 2 complete menus that it presents to us orally and when the choice is made, it goes to cook the chosen dishes. Indeed the plates are greedy and good. Its menu consists of: entrance, dish, cheese, dessert for 15€50. Drinks and coffee in addition. We had a good time there because the chef likes to talk about his culinary passion. The restaurant is visible from the road and if you have a little time to lose, please and try adventure because all its dishes are homemade and bread!"

"We had taken the first tour of the day at the Grotte de la Deveze (in Courniou) and wanted to have lunch before returning to our village. We were welcomed immediately into the rustic interior of the restaurant. It was 1 pm so several tables were filled already. There were two people working in the kitchen, one who stayed in there, and one who seemed to be doing everything else, including some cooking, but it didn 't affect the rhythm of the meal at all. We had a nice, leisurely, typically French lunch, but never had to wait for too long for anything. (I hate when they rush you, thinking that is what English speaking people want) We opted for the 13.50 Euro menu du jour. My husband had chicken in a tomato sauce, with potatoes, green beans. He seemed happy with it. I had fish with a red pepper sauce, a celery root puree and rice. Each dish also came with one of those ubiquitous halves of tomatoes with herbs. (which was good) There was also meat available. The food was very simple, and not fancy, but that was a good thing. It didn 't seem to be pre fab. But who knows. My dessert was a Creme Catalan with chestnut puree inside which sounds good but was just ok. It was heavy on the gelatin so not the smooth custard that one would expect. If it was fait maison it wasn 't that successful. My husband had sorbet... We had a lovely time and enjoyed ourselves, but probably would have, in any other restaurant in the area, as we having such a nice day in general! But I don 't think you could go wrong eating here and the price was right. I gave them a Very Good because it was better than Average."

"J'étais venu il y a de cela près de 2 ans, c'était l'ouverture et encore en travaux tant pour la salle que....pour les plats. J'y suis repassé il y a 2 jours, tout est en ordre. Ce n'est pas de la grande cuisine mais c'est plus que correct et à un prix remarquable: Menu du jour à 12€ pour une entrée, un plat du jour, fromage (excellent plateau où l'on se sert à volonté soi-même), dessert, une 1/2 d'eau minérale et 1/4 de vin. A deux, avec le café, 26,40 €. A noter, la patronne qui s'active, seule, en salle et ne refuse pas les clients même lors d'une arrivée tardive, ce qui est malheureusement trop souvent le cas, ainsi que la remarquable propreté de l'établissement. Service efficace et rapide, avec le sourire. Pas de la grande cuisine mais mieux qu'un sandwich!"
