"Terry and I were visiting Caurel and opted to have lunch in L'auberge after reading it's excellent reviews. What a gem of a restaurant !! Simple and quirky layout with a large spacious and bright downstairs dining room, as well as a smaller intimate dining area and bar upstairs. The menu du jour offered an excellent choice of starters and mains, and at a price of 13euros also included desert and a carafe of wine. Terry opted for the prawns and I opted for the onion tart our starters were delicious. We both opted for the veal as our plat chaude (other choices were fish and ham). Our veal was cooked to perfection and was really tender, served with boiled potatoes and a kind of veggie tart. The fact that our plates were left empty is a sign of an excellent meal. Our choice of desert was simple, ice cream. The perfect complement to an excellent dinner. In summary, an excellent discovery that we hope to go back to soon."

"Stopped there for lunch. We had a table on the terrace. Personnel very friendly without being pushy. Children and toddlers very welcome with a variety of games to keep them busy. We had a set menu including starter, main meal, dessert and coffee for 14 euros per person. The dishes were very well presented and exquisitely prepared. We enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recommended."

"A sign that ruins his game. The dishes are homemade, gourmet and not excessive at the price level (except for drinks). I'm not particularly fan of dessert that I chose (chocolate cream) that has my taste was a little too fat and milk chocolate is not my favorite. But the fries are home, the pizza has a fine croutte that allows to feast without being repushed too fast. To visit with good heart!"
