"a passage by the restaurant of the Musée d'orsay is necessary if one wants to have a complete view of this place with exceptional architecture and decoration. The decor of the restaurant is obviously a bit loaded (unlike the sobriety of the museum), the murals and the ceiling too concealed by the heavy chandeliers to be seen, but it is worth a look. On the service side, you should not be pressed: waiters and waitresses look tired, unpressed, but do the job. without enthusiasm. What we were served (a chicken club-sandwich on the one hand and a salmon-tarama plate on the other) was correct and I will add a special mention for delicious and thick valronha hot chocolate to make a dessert in itself. The rates are rather advantageous. We had a nice time there, to which there was just a touch of class in the service."

between two exhibitions the restaurant is ideal for resting and dining. the frame is beautiful, we stay in the museum theme. The kitchen is good. Quick service.

after the visit of the museum or during the visit a small and innovative gourmet stopover. refined cuisine and fruity flavor I love. A somewhat expedient service but to the guests to slow pace

This is not a typical museum coffee shop. It carries well Paris' reputation for fine food. We had a light lunch -- soup and salad and a fine chardonnay -- but the menu is much more extensive. An exquisite setting in Paris/ most enjoyable museum.

An experience not to be missed. Visit the Musée early and head upstairs to the second level behind the clock around 11:30 to insure a table. They do not take reservations, sad to say. The food is quite good, good value, but the room itself is just stunning. The wait staff is fabulous... Try for a table by the windows. Highly recommended. Speisekarte ansehen

Although the food was alright, the service was slow and when we got our bill it was easy to see they added on a dessert we didn't have as only one of us had a starter and main special without desserts. There was no apologies when we pointed this out. Simply dropped off the reworked bill and walked off. My husband left a tip which made up the overcharge. We found out afterwards that a 15% service charge (tip) is included with the tax. All restaurants do this in Paris and throughout France. Americans beware.

An absolutely fabulous setting is still an old hotel with a breathtaking ceiling and beautiful sculptures! The welcome was quick, but the takeover was a little long.Having a little appetite for two we took a cold soup of small peas with ravioli and for my daughter a piece of grilled beef sauce with the chalote accompanied by fries. The cold soup was good but no surprise. the beef piece (17 € out of the same) had a bitter taste probably because of the grill... and the fries were home (freeze) apart the sauce nothing transcendent! We expected to get better, we must admit it! we wanted to have a gourmet coffee, but the wait was so long that we gave up. The staff is very pleasant and courteous!
