The Sunday roast was AMAZING! Looking forward to coming back to try the Caribbean menu, it sounds fab.

Lovely people that own it...Great welcoming atmosphere!! Great food and always plenty of smiles!! Highly recommended!!

I'd recommend anything on the menu at the Walnut Tree. It's all good we are just so lucky that it's our local, especially in these days where only take-away is allowed.

Stumbled across this little gem on route home from Devon. Delicious food and fab friendly staff. Gravy on the roast dinners was stonking and the ice creams and waffle puddings were the bomb ? Thanks all xx

We came across The Walnut tree by chance when travelling home to Cornwall on the A303! We we’re pleasantly surprised to find out that they served Caribbean food as this is something we love to eat! It was absolutely amazing food!! Such delicious flavours! Brilliant service and great value for money! We wish we lived closer so we could eat here all the time!! We will make this a stop off for every journey we make up the A303 from now on and will recommend you everyone we know!!

I arrived at The Walnut Tree Inn and was warmly welcomed by Izzy who showed me to my room. A beautiful bedroom of dark wood pannelling, a deep red carpet and a desk set into a stone-walled fire place. A pocket of heaven all to myself for three days! The first evening I went to the bubbling pub area (filled with locals) and ordered the Vegan Delight. Good GRIEF! We were six gay guys from London but really Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Antigua, Dubai, and England in West Camel for a Covid ‘staycation’. We went to the pub and the food was amazing, the service great, and the welcome fantastic. The authentic Caribbean food was a real treat and something we didn’t expect to get in a small Somerset town. To say we were pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. We have already recommended the place to our friends who are coming to Somerset next week!

We were really looking forward to our afternoon tea for our anniversary but a plate of cakes appeared with 2 profiteroles and 4 pieces of cake the same size we had 3 of these between 4 adults and 3 children!!!! So each person and less than a normal slice of cake the whole bill for this was just under £40 there was no value for money with plate of very small cakes with 1 pot of tea between 4 people being £10 !!!! Think more research needs to be done before embarking on a new venture, we usually get a full afternoon tea for £12.50 which includes a sandwich cake and scone plus as much tea and coffee that you want !!!
