Pretentious, very rude service, over-rated food and very over priced. It was a shame, as it has such great potential and is in a great venue. A sign of the times in Frome.

Staying down here on hols. Went to buy morning croissants. How can they justify £3 for a plain croissant takeaway? I’m based in Brighton where a perfect authentic version costs £1.20 today. Very good quality but too much

Hands down the best cakes, pastries pizza in Frome. Have the salted chocolate cookie or the raspberry financier! So glad to have this incredible place on the doorstep. It’s now part of my working week as a delicious ‘office’, great WiFi too. Definitely go!

You get what you pay for outstanding food, friendly staff, unique location. There are too many delicious baked goods to choose from I chose a plain croissant, which was delivered to me warm, with butter and home made apricot jam. The best croissant and the best jam I have ever had. Coffee is top notch too. A must visit when in Frome.

The Rye Bakery in Frome has been a huge success, originally starting out as a cafe and bakery but eventually outgrowing its space for the bakery, which has since moved to the Station approach. However, the charming little cafe still thrives, offering superb coffee, delectable baked goods, and a delightful atmosphere in a converted old chapel. I highly recommend it. Every time we visit this restaurant, it is a wonderful experience. During our last visit, there was a bit of a delay with two items from our large order. When we inquired about it, the head chef was very apologetic and quickly resolved the issue. Additionally, he kindly offered everyone at our table a complimentary hot or cold drink, demonstrating excellent service recovery. This showed us how much Rye Bakery values their customers, and we will definitely be returning regularly. Bravo! The restaurant has a family-friendly atmosphere and is highly recommended for families. For lunch, expect to pay between £10-20 per person.
