"I went with a friend for an early dinner to Salt and Plum for the first time. Modern, clean interior with high ceiling. Staff friendly and helpful. We chose 2 mains, the stuffed chicken thigh dish and the lamb casserole with pie crust. Both delicious! Very fresh and tasty, wonderful depth of flavours. Clearly made with expertise, and real knowledge of Turkish cuisine. Kitchen is open and we got chatting to the excellent chef, who told us he slow cooks the lamb for 6-7 hours beforehand, hence it was so tender. Also careful sourcing of produce. Complimentary warm bread and crumbly cow/goat cheese was served also. Both delicious too ???? Perhaps chicken thigh portion size could have been bigger, but would definitely recommend Salt and Plum!"

Server was lovely, had a personality and helped us with ordering. Would I return? Yes. I didn't particularly like being near the door on a cold night but that's just a preference. Food was nice and the fresh bread was delicious ????????

I was extremely disappointed with the food at this restaurant, especially considering its high rating of 9.1. The dishes we had were bland and lacking flavor. The waitress was overly pushy in trying to upsell the signature dish, the Topkapi chicken, which turned out to be tasteless. My party is familiar with Turkish cuisine and we highly recommend visiting Antep Kitchen in Oxford instead. Don't be misled by the rating like I was.
