"This charming little restaurant served some very comforting, simple dishes. We started with a carafe of house wine, which was great. The shrimp risotto was creamy and cheesy, with neatly arranged shrimp. There was a good amount of lemon zest all throughout the dish. I guess the acid was meant to break up some of the heaviness of the dish. The pizza comes in thick or thin. We weren 't quite sure what that meant, since the pizzas all look pretty much the same. Our server was very nice and explained that it is the crust that is thick or thin. When we asked which he recommended, he replied, I like it thick. So of course we went with his recommendation and ordered a thick crust margherita pizza. So the pizza arrived and the edges of the crust were thick and pillowy, while the center of the pizza was still very thin. It held the tomato sauce very well. There was a smattering of basil leaves, interspersed with some thick pieces of mozzarella. The pizza was delicious, and tastes great with a drizzle of their olive oil. The risotto was nice, but nothing too exciting. I 'm glad we tried a restaurant a little bit away from the center of Florence and found a gem off the beaten path."

Great restaurant with excellent food. Darling out stay in florence a friend of mine reccomended it and he was absolutely right. Great food, wine, and really nice waiters (one of them also speaks English).

First night in Florence, googled where to eat locally and this popped up. Glad it did... Excellent food at reasonable prices, fantastic service. Actually... The best Pizza I've had in Italy so far and we've eaten everywhere except Napoli. Enjoy :

the best pizza in the florence! no matter where they are, they make time to get their food. the restaurant is family-run and furnished. the personal is fast and friendly. the pizza from the crust, the cheese and the sauce and the toppings is the best in italia. family since 1973, it is all around great Italian restaurant experience. the house wines paired with the marinara, margarita, margartia buffalo, diavola and pfefferoni are the best pizzas, but others are popular and also delicious.

my man and I stumbled one night after the arrival in florence after santa lucia. the staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. it was a place, and we enjoyed watching how people continue to come and say hello to the employees. we ordered the ravioli with meat sauce and a ham, red pfeffer and mozzarella pizza. after 10 days in italia, including rom, florence and venice, this was our favorite meal. we wanted to come back before we left town. to add another data point, other reviews mentioned that the prices are high, but we thought the price was fantastic compared to other places that are easier to find from the tourist.
