"Surely a tarte flambee isn’t too much of a reach for a brasserie in Colmar? Wrong! I ordered an apple tarte flambee and they also offered the calvados flambe’ version whats not to like? I thought that meant the apples would have the calvados treatment in the kitchen. No such luck. They poured a small glass of calvados over the ‘just’ warm tarte at the table…..and of course the spirit didn’t properly ignite. So I had the spirit wetting the tarte, the base of which was not properly cooked. This dish was a taster to decide whether to try anything else on the menu but no chance of that. Yet another Colmar eatery which just couldn’t be bothered to do a half decent job!"

I appreciated the availability of the restaurant especially because we arrived a little bit late without advance booking. We tried their specialities and they were good and large portion (appreciate it .

Very nice place. Using English was not a problem. We never had rösti like that, served in individual hot pans. We all had Rösti Strasbourgeouis, because that's what the guy at the next table was having . Very nice.

a very typical atmosphere, a good organization in these coveted times and with the crowd of Christmas, quick and smiling service, but the röstis was missing kitchen, the flambées tarts arrived cold; Do not forget to do just things on the pretext of doing it quickly!
