Shoryu Covent Garden

It’s always a great experience to go to Shoryu Covent Garden. Great food at sensible prices, in a magically calm environment.

The restaurant's food was excellent. I believe I had some of the best ramen in London. However, the service was lacking on that busy day.

do not taste disappoint! love how perfect the noodles was, the suppe was beautiful. for a garlic lover I recommend the dracula tonkotsu black garlic? yum!

before the theatre visit simple decoration, but eating was good and very filling. they can order via an app/QR code, but we just ordered ourselves normal. very good part we couldn't finish. very good especially for pre-theater

We had a delightful lunch at a peaceful table in the rear of the restaurant. The service was quick, attentive and welcoming, and the ramen was exactly what we were craving. The meal was reasonably priced and good value for the quality.

Great food and value with the special offer. However let down by poor service. I waited ages after finishing my ramen before having to ask for desert. As for the bill I again waited and eventually got up, out my coat on and stood by the till.

The service was extremely slow. We had to wait ages for a waitress to take our order. In the end one of us got up to ask for our order to be taken. Then it took a long time for our food to arrive. We had order gyros and 3 of them were scorched/ burnt on the edges. Finally waited ages to pay the bill.

The food was really nice but the service was very poor. Took 30 mins for the plates to be cleared, then 30 mins for desserts to be served (after asking multiple waiters as well). Unfortunately, it took asking 3 people for some water for it to arrive at our table. It’s a shame because the food was delicious, but our experience would have been better if the service was just as good.

I’ve had dinner at the Carnaby and Soho locations which have been excellent. The Covent Garden location was a different experience. Seating was behind a corner so it was very easy to forget us. My friend had ordered a drink which the waiter forgot to bring. We waited a long time for the drink and finally waived a different waiter to come to take our order. They forgot our waters and we had to waive them to bring them. The noodles weren’t as good as the other locations. When the bill came they added an additional charge for a charity which I was under the impression was optional to add not optional to remove. All in all a disappointing evening.
