Silk Restaurant - Speisekarte

Each time I've visited I've had a lovely experience. Attentive service where the waiters can't do enough for you. All dishes are silky and smooth and plated really well. The portion sizes for all of the courses including the sides are good. Great drinks list.

Do not go to this place the service is outrageous if you don’t like something they charge you, if you don’t touch the food they charge you if you don’t like this Shisha and cancel it because it’s so bed they charge you. No wonder it is dead inside with only 2 people Stay away from this place !!!!

My husband treated me to our ‘after theatre’ meal, so early evening. Restaurant was unfortunately quiet, but was mid week raining! The courthouse hotel is very smart, we were shown through to SILK and was very impressed with its decor style, our service was obviously excellent came with a smile! We had an excellent offer, 3 courses a glass of wine...we added 1 side dish 2 good size glasses of red wine, including service charge, was only an extra £17.74! Me and my partner came here for lunch using a virgin experience voucher. The silk restaurant was unfortunately closed so it was moved to their hotel restaurant. The staff were really friendly and service was quick. The restaurant was nice enough, not quite what I’d expected. It was a small room with quite varied decoration on each wall. The food was nice but not great… There was nothing necessarily wrong with the food but it didn’t have a great deal of flavour and just felt a little average. I don’t think I’d attend again, maybe if the silk restaurant itself was open the experience would’ve been very different

Our Afternoon Tea arrived in a three-tiered cake stand with sandwiches on the bottom, scones with jam in the middle, and a selection of cakes on top. When we asked for cream for the scones, we were informed that they did not have any, but we could have butter instead. Additionally, we were given two glasses of champagne included in the voucher, which, although pleasant, seemed more like sparkling wine than champagne. Overall, the food was decent, but not the best we've ever had. While the service was good and the staff were polite, we were not entirely convinced that this venue was worth a return visit based on our expectations from their marketing.

I got a voucher for xmas present for 2 people for the venue. We turned up, it was quite empty so we were given a choice of where we wanted to sit. The place is quite quirky as it used to be a courtroom, The lighting did make it look a bit dingy. We ordered a 3 course meal. Me and my partner had a contrast in starters, I had stir fry chicken , which was such a small portion 3 small cubes of chicken , yet my partner had smoked salmon, his portion was massive, with the cost I thought it would be the other way around. The mains and dessert were very nice and tasty. Service was good though a bit amateurish. So overall a nice experience, though whether I would come here without a voucher deal I'm... We were unsure about dining here as we were not familiar with the menu and had to clarify our order multiple times due to a language barrier. The atmosphere was lacking and the menu was short and uninspired. However, the birdcage decorations were lovely. The wine was overpriced for the type of restaurant and when we thanked the staff, they replied with a simple "welcome." The red wine was corked and we wished we had waited for the main restaurant to reopen. The scallops were cooked perfectly, but the rest of the meal was underwhelming. We had a voucher for a three-course fine dining experience with a champagne cocktail. Despite typically enjoying pub meals, I have had enough experience with fine dining to appreciate a more limited menu. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the menu, such as a vegetarian Caesar salad incorrectly labeled as such. The waitress lacked knowledge about the food and had to confirm with the kitchen about the presence of anchovies in the salad. I had a virgin experience bought as a Christmas gift for a 3 course a la carts meal and champagne cocktail in the Silk restaurant.Upon arrival it seems only 1 of those 3 statements appears to be true. We were told our meal wouldn’t be in the silk restaurant but in another restaurant Wala but would be served the Silk restaurant menu.We got in the restaurant and saw only 2 other sets of diners.We chose where we wanted to sit and were given menus and the champagne cocktail arrived.
