"I love this place so often. love to see how the cows will be milked and give them a headcracker at the snowfall. it is such a great place to take children and adults to see and learn the milking process. eating in caffe was good every time I visited. Today I took a friend who loved him. Please note, however, that they check all the ingredients if they have allergies, as they are not always listed on their board or on their menus. my friend didn't know that nuts were in her salad until she had eaten it. otherwise 10/10"

Long queues, inefficient deployment of staff, inflexible menu (we’re just swapping over so we can’t do a toasted tea cake)

Nice little farm shop to come across and with a cafe too. Good choice of fresh produce and Artisan foods and crafty products. Cafe serves a good mug of coffee and cold drinks and ice cream. Also quick meals including Fish Finger sandwich and Rolls. Great place don't miss out it's a must go too.

The food is excellent. Lovely fresh vegetables and delicious meat. I can't decide whether I like the cheese scones more than the fruit scones, both delicious. We've just had a chicken, ham and leak pie for dinner. Superb, best pie I've tasted in a long time. Compliments to the chef, the pastry was perfect.

During the summer holidays and on bank holidays, this restaurant gets very busy. However, the food is definitely worth it, as well as the opportunity to visit the castle and gardens. The staff are incredibly friendly and hardworking, truly making them the shining stars of Sizergh Cafe. Overall, a wonderful experience.

I love this place! besides an amazing caffe with a glazed viewing area, so they are the cows that are milked (at certain times,) they also have many beautiful foods and gifts in the shop, much of the local opposite. there is also a wild park, a camping site and a hut, where you can do not pasteurized milk directly from the beautiful cows.

Lovely, well situated cafe and farm shop. Welcoming, friendly staff and an impressively well stocked farm shop. Enjoyed it so much I visited it twice for breakfast on my trip. Good support for gluten-free dining. Particular shout out to the tea and coffee quality, took a fresh raw milk milkshake to go on our trip home which was also amazing.

Turned up to the cafe at 11.00 am on a Sunday for breakfast before a long walk in the grounds. 'Can I have the salad? ' 'No, we dont do things off the lunch menu until 11.45 ' 'Can I have a bacon bap then? ' 'No, we 've run out of bacon ' 'Can I have a sausage bap then? ' 'No we 've run out of sausages '. Felt like I was in the Monty Python Cheese Shop sketch. How difficult is it to organise a breakfast menu?

"Staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. They were also very kind to our dog. We had drinks and food and though the drinks were good, the food was not. The words 'frozen ' and 'microwave ' were forefront in my mind throughout. The mash potato I had with my pie was face meltingly hot suggesting the microwave was used, and my wife 's battered fish was mushy and watery suggesting it was deep fried from frozen. The batter was also only about 1mm thick and was like wise mushy. The meat in my chunky steak pie was definatly chunky but was a little too firm (not tough, just not tender. Probably the wrong cut of meat rather than badly cooked). I then had the caramel apple pie as did another member of my party. While his was hot, mine was cold. I had mine with cream which when it arrived, had bubbles in and was luke warm. What I think happened was that mine was microwaved first and then drowned in cream and left to sit while the other was microwaved. This mean mine cooled in the cream while the cream warmed. It also meant that the pastry on the bottom went soggy, and from the rest of the pastry, it didn 't seem like it had much crisp to begin with. Now I know that times are hard and pubs like this can 't be expected to make everything from scratch, but there are 3 other pubs close by and unfortunately this one is doing nothing to stand out from the others, in terms of food anyway. Overall, a nice place for a quiet drink, but I 'll not be back for the food. The only saving grace was the price; £80 for 2 rounds of drinks (1 pint, 1 coke and 2 halves per round), 4 mains and 2 desserts...I suppose you get that you pay for though..."
