A place to remember for sure. Hotel room was superb. Staff very friendly. Sitting area in restaurant was little bit too dark but food was delicious. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. The room was comfortable and the overall hotel quiet. Breakfast was lovely and the afternoon meal. I would visit again as gretna is a lovely place. Nearby activities: Gretna village was romantic and picturesque. A retail nearby and some shops in the village. The reception area was lovely, however the seating in bar needs throwing out, it is stained thread bear and I didntcwantcto sit down. Had food on the evening, this was beautiful, however the breakfast the following morning was the worst I've had, no orange, limited items, no beans, long wait. When sausages came out they had a short curly hair on them. The room was nice, clean on arrival but not cleaned whilst there forc2 days. Wanted to spoil ourselves before we booked into our wedding venue tomorrow at Mill forge so decided to stay a night at this hotel. Booked a table at the restaurant with FINE DINING in mind!! When we ordered our starter the bread roll for the soup was friozen and my Fiancée’s asparagus was cold with a cold bland flavourless hollandaise sauce!! When this happens it puts a downer on everything else!! My main (Hake fish) was nice but sat on a bed of soggy lettuce, my partner enjoyed her pork and sides. The bill with a bottle of wine was still near £100 and we were mixed with customers still in their work clothes who we’re ordering burgers and chicken nuggets, we were in our finest attire wanting...

Awful check in service. Receptionist was late off shift and showed her anger. Her words “ I’m due off but I’m going to do you a favour and check you in” After she was relieved our 2 rooms were allocated, 40 and 39, our teenage children next to us. Another receptionist pitched in that we can’t have 39 as it was allocated, same with next offer of room 32. My children ended up on the next floor down. Our restaurant bills were all messed up. On check out we were apparently under charged, and we were telephoned on our way home and told we needed to pay over the phone another £98. When we queried this, as this was wrong, it came down to around 50 and then further reduced because of all the mistake... Speisekarte ansehen
