Food is not the best, but not the worst. Staff are lovley and the atmosphere is lovley.

We often come to Tandem for lunch or dinner. We often get greeted by extremely lovely staff who are extremely helpful and patient. We been coming her for a fair few month more regularly due too how lovely Val, Donna, Katie often are. We built good friendships with the staff due to their friendly approach and they are extremely supportive and helpful with our daughter who has extra needs

My food was fine (gammon and chips) which is why I’ve left a one star, otherwise I wouldn’t have even put that. My partner ordered a burger and chips, upgraded to salt pepper chips but what came was OVERLY powdered seasoning which was inedible without a ton of mayo. The pina colada was a glass of milk with a shot of rum. Service- when we came in there was one young girl behind the bar, another young girl just sat at a table uninterested. No one came over to see if our food was okay or if we wanted anything else, and on our way out of the pub there was NOONE to be seen. Really poor for a Saturday night. Won’t be returning.

We stopped going to The Tandem a year or so ago because we go out for a meal as an impulse and it was almost too busy to accommodate walk ins and if you tried to book there would not be a free table for a few hours. So we thought for once we would plan ahead and book. The 1st red flag was the car park was empty... on a Saturday evening. Lots of signs with Booking Only everywhere, that is inviting. I walked into the gents toilets, and all the urinals were out of order. The 2 remaining toilets stood in puddles of urine. Lovely. We got a table. This once buzzing restaurant had 3 tables of people.
