"We have been here for breakfast numerous times over the years, we called in this morning and were very dissapointed in 1. Service 2. Breakfast was truly awfull On arriving we had to wait while the lady finished her personal conversation with another member of staff, she was the only one in a white shirt. Breakfast arrived after a while and was cold, 1 tiny rasher of bacon if you could call it that, sausage well im not sure if it was or not it looked like a little chipolatta ! smallest fried egg ive ever seen and half of a squashed tomatoe, greasy fried bread with greasy undercooked hash browns Ohh and brown water masquerading as coffee ! Perhaps they are recouping the cost of refurbished toilets ? roses on the table ? really just serve a decent breakfast please like you used too come on ..... untill then we wont be back"

Good service, nothing negative to say. Always visit for a coffee and snack. Pleasant surroundings.

Very nice staff, food is good and at very reasonable price. Be aware for the business hours. Sunday close earlier then expected.

Great southern fried wrap with tea as always. Had brief chat with lovely young girl who was cramming in as many shifts as possible b4returning to uni in October . GR8 Speisekarte ansehen

Visited the cafe when I was in store and I was pleasantly surprised to see a new and improved vegan option the beyond burger. The burger was lovely and came with salad and chutney, with fries that had peri peri salt on them. I also had a late, which was also really nice.

The staff here are fantastic. I visit regularly and am always struck by their kindness. They know I am disabled and they bring my hot drinks to the table for me if I am alone. I am quite immobile and tend to be a little unsteady. Wendy and Ryan are particularly attentive.

Went to this cafe today and found that not all items were on the menu and the food was awful, microwaved rubbish, rushed of our table even though I hadn't finished my coffee, the young girl was nice and made a great coffee but the rest were sour and gave an overall bad experience Speisekarte ansehen

Worst all day breakfast we have had in a long long time. Sausage rock hard, egg overcooked, hash browns poor quality. Sainsbury’s do a far better breakfast for same price and includes mushroom and tomato with substitutes if required, and always served with a smile. Tesco staff seem to have couldn’t care less approach. Where has the old Tesco Durham gone?

I visited the cafe for a cuppa and a cake. I asked the member of staff if any of the cakes/sweet treats were gluten free. Her reply was that they were not allowed to say!!! She said I would have to look through the allergen booklet behind the till. As I didn 't have my reading glasses with me, having not anticipated needing to read through a small print booklet, I was none the wiser. I don 't understand this policy of we are not allowed to say , and have not come across it in any other cafe I have visited. Surely, knowing that increasing numbers of customers are gluten intolerant, Tesco would be able to educate their staff to give a more appropriate reply? I was extremely disappointed.

"Started off really well and went over to the counter and ordered a crepe with banana and Nutella and specifically stated no strawberries I also asked for a San Pelegríno still water as this was on the menu also. I was the first person to order and the last to eat in the end. I got brought my water over which was a cheaper brand water that I just paid £2 for what would I have liked to have seen ? We’ll when I asked for san pelligrino still water to be told that they don’t have that in. Finally my crepe comes and I take a bite and realise that it’s got strawberries in all the way through which I’m allergic too. One of my family members takes it back and says that I asked for banana not strawberry there’s a reason why I can’t eat it and didn’t want it on my crepe. Then 5 minutes later another crepe comes out that was my bitten crepe that someone had opened up and picked the strawberries out and put banana in. Disgusting absolutely … not sure if this was a mistake or just being stingy either way it’s not on. It then again gets returned because there is no way I am eating that and it gets explained once again there is a reason I can’t eat strawberries to which then one of the owners comes over to serve the correct crepe and apologise . I really hope a lesson was learnt today because cross contamination is not a joke. Please be careful when eating there. I didn’t get offered a refund but then again they were willing to serve me a bitten crepe again so it didn’t surprise me that much."
