The pub had a fantastic and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly staff who were very pleasant and humorous. We will definitely be coming back!

Enjoyed yet another excellent lunch cooked by Sharon, and the beer was as usual in perfect condition. A lovely friendly pub which is always a pleasure to visit.

Went there on Saturday night for a quiet drink. The lady behind the bar (helping out on a Saturday night) was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We will be going back. Also, a nice selection of beers. Speisekarte ansehen

New owners sine last visit but the welcoming atmosphere has not changed, females on their own are not judged but made to feel welcome. Food very well cooked and they cater for us who have a small appetite . Will be going back again with or without friends

New Landlord is keeping the real ales as good as one could wish for. Now Wadworth 6X is available a fantastic pint. Great welcome from Stevie-Ann when you walk in the door all of the locals make you most welcome. Sunday roasts are fantastic, great value top quality food. Nothing is too much trouble for Matthew Stevie-Ann to make your visit a 'true pleasure ' at The Alma. A great pub with great people!!!!

Wow what a find!! We were visiting the area and found this gem of a place! Lovely people, great service, very accommodating for my family including our dog (dogs allowed in bar but not restaurant). We have been out for many Sunday roast dinners, but this was one of the best we’ve had! Beautiful food, proper roasties, I had a mix of all meats on offer. It came with lovely swede and carrots, cauliflower cheese, parsnips, and lots of other veg, a big jug of gravy, all the condiments, it really was very good! Highly recommended 5*!! This is an absolutely fantastic pub with the most amazing atmosphere! Landlord and landlady are a such an inviting couple who make you feel so welcome! Their Sunday roast is definitely worth making a trip for, the meat was perfectly cooked and I shall definitely come again! If you like a friendly pub atmosphere with good food this is the place to definitely make a detour for! I will continue to go out of my way to make an appearance at this lovely place! Apparently they've only been here 8 months but it feels like they've been here forever and have done such a good job with the place! Well done guys keep up the good work!

I celebrated my 21st birthday party at The Alma on July 30th, with a mix of friends and family in attendance from 3pm till late. The staff at The Alma were incredible! The food they served was delicious, and the landlady even checked in with me beforehand to ensure they catered to our preferences. Some of my family members have gluten sensitivities, and the fact that they provided gluten-free options was greatly appreciated. We spent the whole day and evening outdoors, enjoying delicious cocktails in the sunshine. It was a fantastic day, made even better by the friendly and attentive staff. My husband and I randomly decided to visit this restaurant today and we were thoroughly impressed! The staff were incredibly friendly and the Sunday Roast was exactly what we were craving. It felt like a traditional home-cooked meal, with the roast potatoes standing out as some of the best I've had in a while. My husband had the gammon and I had the chicken, both cooked perfectly. The vegetables and cauliflower cheese were also delicious, and I appreciated that they served the extras in separate dishes so we could help ourselves. The Eton Mess dessert was a delightful ending to the meal; normally I'm not a fan of desserts, but after seeing other tables enjoying theirs, we had to try it. The... Speisekarte ansehen
