the staff in the arden greeted me at the arrival and showed us in our sitting area, the staff is very friendly and carnt enough for them. eating is beautiful and fresh would recommend this little friendly pub

Really excellent proper pub with great good value food, incredibly helpful and friendly landlady, excellent beer and a lovely and interesting building to boot. So pleased places like this, untouched by hipsters, still exist.

This restaurant was fantastic! We all enjoyed a delightful lunch. The food quality is outstanding, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely return and highly recommend it for a wonderful lunch experience.

I love working here. facilitates the work of a second place so much easier when it is pub in a really friendly workplace, with fantastic management and personal and a really beautiful character. eating is also amazing to try another perk of the jobs, the home cooked dishes from the menu. This is really a pub and restaurant that welcomes everyone with the bonus of the dog friendly always a mixed bag of old and personalities with the customer-specific and real home feeling.

I visited the restaurant for the first time, and even though my son had a busy schedule, I wasn't disappointed. I had the chance to catch up with a long-lost friend who's been in Australia, as well as another great friend I've known for over 30 years. We enjoyed a delicious and affordable lunch, along with drinks throughout the afternoon. The pub has a wonderful atmosphere with a large beer garden in the back; it's truly a hidden gem. The bar staff were friendly, and I definitely plan to return soon.

I stopped by for a quick drink and ended up glancing at the menu, which tempted me to order something. I started with the homemade chicken liver pâté, and it was the perfect portion size—absolutely delicious. For my main course, I had the fish and chips, opting for the small portion with mushy peas and bread and butter. At just £8.50, I can’t believe they offer such quality food at that price. I also tried a Jamaican stew with mashed vegetables, which I'd never had before, and it was incredible. This place is a hidden gem in Stockport—you definitely need to visit! The staff are polite and friendly as well.
