Handy car park at front. Lovely old pub. Very friendly atmosphere and owners. Lovely, inexpensive food. One of those traditional old pubs that one is glad to find. There is a children’s playground in the park behind.

Absolutely gem of a find. Staying locally for a few days and met here with family. Lovely warm welcome..... food was absolutely amazing. All freshly cooked, meat pie couldn't have squeezed another piece of meat in it. I'm a pudding girl and oh my....did not disapoint, lemon and redcurrant sponge.....mmmmm!! Very reasonable

The restaurant near Eye is a hidden gem with fantastic hosts, excellent service, and great food. It has plenty of seating both inside and outside and is well-loved by locals. Had an absolutely wonderful meal here this evening with family and our dog, we were made to feel very welcome, such a friendly atmosphere. The pub had two very lovely dogs which is always a bonus. Would definitely return here when visiting again. Food was fantastic, very generous portions, thank you. Bruno the dog loved his visit too.

We visited today as a family of ten to end a special birthday weekend away. The Sunday Roast was incredible and by far the best I’ve eaten in a very long time. Fantastic value for money and all freshly prepared. Service is quick and the staff are all very helpful. Well kept ales on the pumps too This pub is a great find and a must to visit!

The Sunday lunch at this restaurant is fantastic - with generous portions offered at a reasonable price. The food was served hot and included a great selection of vegetables and two choices of meat. We are staying locally for a week’s holiday and have just had a wonderful roast dinner here with our dog Jack. The food was served lovely and hot, plenty of it and cooked so well. The chocolate brownie was the best I have ever had. My husband chose the sticky toffee pudding and he said it was so light and tasty. Coupled with the very pleasant girls at the bar and the very welcoming landlady, we are looking forward to another dinner later this week. Thank you so much, we’ve had a most enjoyable experience.

We had a wonderful experience at this charming pub with a friendly landlord and landlady. After our regular swim at a nearby pool, we struggled to find a place to eat together as most pubs had stopped serving food. However, the accommodating landlord, who is also the chef, agreed to prepare our meals a bit later than usual. We enjoyed a delicious meal of the famous pie, mashed potatoes, and vegetables, all cooked to perfection with plenty of tasty gravy. The pie was filled with generous portions of meat. During our celebration weekend with all of our family of 19 at nearby Horham we ate Sunday lunch here. The table for our large group was set up in a private area away from the main bar area which allowed us to enjoy ourselves without disturbing others. The welcome was perfect with bunting decorations and a surprise bottle of Cava supplied to us by the Landlord. It was dog friendly, which was a requirement, as we had a well behaved dog with us and behind the bar were 2 other large but very well behaved dogs. Fortunately we went straight into the main Roast which comprised a choice of Beef, Pork and Turkey or a mix, numerous fresh vegetables, big Yorkshire puddings and lovely roast potatoes. T...
