"Visited on the day of the Kirkcudbright Tattoo, it was busy inside so we sat outside with our wee dog. We ordered the local burger it came with salad and chips and it was absolutely delicious, piping hot served on a proper morning roll with lovely crisp fresh salad and coleslaw, it was presented well and I was impressed. Service was friendly and when there was a black cloud overhead with a spit of rain we were offered the last table inside, we persevered outside the sun came back out and it a beautiful hot day (it is Scotland after all) When we are back in the area we will definitely visit again."

Good food Served with a smile and a bit of cheek Friendly staff. Reasonably priced menu. And no raw onion in the side salad, always a bonus!

My first ever taste of a full Scottish breakfast and I really enjoyed it. The place was unassuming but busy and the staff friendly (considering we were sassanachs). A nice enjoyable experience Speisekarte ansehen

This was our first visit to Kirkcudbright this was the first café that we found after parking. The staff are super friendly the food drink choice is pretty good too. I'm definitely returning the next time I'm in Kirkcudbright.

4 of us ate here on Friday and Saturday evening during the Kirkcudbright Jazz Festival. The people are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food is excellent, tasty and plentiful. We would definitely recommend this place and will be calling in again when next in the area. Speisekarte ansehen

large small caffe in the heart of kirkcudbright. good selection of warm and cold drinks and well prepared healthy foods at a decent price. the personal is friendly and efficient. it is not a huge place, we arrived just before lunch and it filled almost immediately, but there is a pretty fast turnover of customers. seats inside and outside

Service fine. We both ordered soup and a sandwich. Worst soup and sandwich we’ve ever had. Broccoli and Stilton soup was that thick you could stand the spoon in it and definitely not hot enough. Sandwich dry and tasteless and hubbys coronation chicken filler was so salty he couldn’t eat it (which is not like him to leave food! When I went to pay I mentioned the salty indelible sandwich and all I got was “sorry that’ll be £19 please”… Over priced for what we got and not a great experience. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

"Myself and my partner where just outside of portpatrick yesterday and wondered about somewhere to have lunch, it was about 12.30pm on a scorching hot Bank holiday Sunday. We hadn’t actually planned to go there to start with but thought why not. I saw on Facebook Connors Restaurant had just uploaded a Facebook post about stopping there for a choice of 2 lovely menus and a cheeky gin, sounded perfect! The post had went up about 15 mins before we arrived, so I assumed they must be looking to take some tables. I walked down and there where 2 tables taken outside, and 1 table inside. I asked if I could get a table for 2 outside if possible and I was told no they had been reserved and I thought okay but before I could even open my mouth again she said all tables inside where also reserved that they where fully booked. There was 1 table inside, other wise it was pretty empty. Ok no problem, we found somewhere else so no big deal, after about 2 hours spent having food and wondering around we went back to the car (parked just up from Connors restaurant) and I noticed again there was only the 1 table outside, and no one at the others. I’m maybe wrong but I felt like this was odd, the inside didn’t look like it was “fully booked” either. It actually looked a little dead compared to everywhere else. This has also happened to my friends a couple of times too they’ve went in and the place has been stone dead but got turned away because of the excuse of being fully booked. Just felt like it was not quite right. Sorry I never usually write reviews but felt like I had to get my point across on this one. We would love to dine here and hopefully will in the future."
