"We visited The Bell at Sapperton on the last day of the government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme, so were fully expecting a wait for our food (we had booked a table). The service was prompt, and we were seated outside, where we had a little gazebo to ourselves. Drinks were served quickly after ordering, and food was out much quicker than expected, and most importantly it was all utterly delicious. Very generous children's meals which went down a treat, and the burgers both my husband and I had were to die for. My only slight negative is that I wish we had been advised we'd be sitting outside, as we probably would've dressed slightly warmer, but in the end it really didn't matter. The children were thrilled to get a hot chocolate with dinner, and I found the little bit of warmth I wanted in a delightful glass of wine. All in all the experience was fabulous, and we'd love to visit again in the future."

Excellent service and good menu. Drinks menu would be helpful, rather than just wine list :

big country pub. Currently there is a covid limited menu in operation, so a reduced offer awaits. it is not fast to eat, but it is not your usual pub fair either.

Fantastic pub with great atmosphere and really friendly staff. We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch, there was lots of choice and huge portions. We'll definitely come back.

A popular local pub and restaurant just off of the centre of town. Really friendly atmosphere and welcoming hosts. The food was really good and well presented. I really liked the restaurant area as light and airy with good space to relax with my family with clean surroundings. I would visit again for dinner.

A great venue for an overnight stay in an idyllic Cotswold country setting. Beautiful ambience in both the restaurant and bar, with a very warm welcome from the staff. Nice room in keeping with the property with an all important modern bathroom. The only criticism would be that the bed mattrass was too hard so not a perfect night's sleep. Breakfast was outstanding the full English had top quality ingredients. Would definitely return.

I cannot recommend this place enough! on Saturday after a day hike, we were looking for a Saturday afternoon, a bit worse for wear, we were greeted by the lovely bar manager who found us a table outside the garden and took our drink order while waiting for the kitchen to open. I ordered the bark cake that came with maic, kale and gravy and was cooked for perfection (the bark fell apart,) my friend ordered the sausage and maic, also delicious. the portions were good sizes and fulfilled our hunger after the day hike. we both left a smile on our faces after a nice dinner.

We had an excellent Sunday Roast Lunch for two. One lamb and one Beef. I cannot fault the service. I read reviews and I am surprised by the negative comments, I truly believe the patrons customers are not living in the real world and should I say go to a buffet restaurant or a Toby Carvery. Everything is expensive, we should support local restaurants and pubs. If you truly experienced a poor experience, ask to speak with the manager, not go home and then decide to air your views later! Back to my review, lucky enough to be able to visit again. Can I remind you that the restaurant gets busy Friday, Saturday and Sunday on my previous visit, we just turned up but unable to get a table)

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
