"We arrived as a family of 3 and a dog (by boat) and politely asked if we could be accommodated for a meal. We don’t expect Restaurant service with our dog so were happy to eat in the lounge. We had to move tables after a short while as a group of adults nearby were drinking and talking loudly with every other word being the F word. They also harassed our dog. I went to the bar to try to order food and was told they would take our order at the table (which they hadn’t done after half an hour). When our food arrived we received a Burger missing its bacon and my wife’s meal had a severely undercooked (watery) fried egg. The two meals were taken away and returned 10 minutes later with a replacement egg (same meal) and bacon added to the burger. The rest of the meal was adequate at best. We gave up waiting to receive our bill after eating and chose to pay at the bar on our way out. We wouldn’t bother to visit this place again. 3/10."

"We used to visit the Manor Arms regularly at least twice per week for meals and drinks up to two years ago. Unfortunately, a series of incompetent managers and poor service made it a chore, so we stopped but thought, as it was under new management, we would try it again for Sunday lunch. Although the meal was ok, IMHO the prices are far too high for the quality when compared to competitors such as the Dew Drop at Broadheath et al. The selection of vegetables was sparse and personally I found the cauliflower cheese pretty awful. Additionally, the faint smell of cigarette smoke from outside was a little off-putting! Staff could be a little less formal and perhaps communicate more as we felt as though we were just numbers rather than customers who you might wish would return. The Manor has great potential as a country pub, and there is scope for it to be one of the best in the area. We would love to return as regulars once more, but perhaps not at the moment."

"I visited The New Inn for the first time this evening, and I was truly impressed. The transformation from the old property is remarkable; the place has been completely renovated and now features a lovely new garden area. The food was fantastic, and the service was equally excellent. It's definitely a great spot for a bite to eat and to enjoy a drink. They serve food daily starting at noon. There are also nearby coffee shops, making it a perfect location for a coffee before or after your visit. The pub offers ample parking as well. If you're looking for a welcoming atmosphere with a quirky, urban design, I highly recommend The New Inn. The entire team was fantastic—thank you!"

"The food was very tasty and perfectly cooked. The staff were lovely and the only downside was that there were hardly any people there. It was a Wednesday lunchtime so possibly not a busy time, but I don’t think I saw more than two other tables. of diners. Definitely going back. The outside terraces look like they’ll be great in the summer as the place has a lovely view over the valley."

"that was a good pub restaurant before. there seems to be a bad retention and a high turnover of employees who think about management. the steak I ordered was chewing and full gristle. I said the waitress politely that she would get the manager/Koch/Barman out of the kitchen. gary, the above mentioned helicopter of all trades, seems to do the work of all, instead of managing that he has not arrived. a few minutes later the waitress asked if we would like more drinks. I explained that I wanted to solve the problem first with my meal and she went back to the kitchen. finally gary arrived and in a very condesctive way explained that rib auge steak has some fat in it. I am aware of the sibling that gives taste, but not gristle and steak as hard as it is like chewing leather. in no phase I offered a replacement or another option, but after a waiting period of minutes since my complaining and the sight of cold gristle before me I was no longer hungry anyway. gary's attitude was risible. he has no customer service skills and did not make any excuse or offer of any kind to put it right. he simply produced a bill for the whole meal (minus the steak), which was wrong anyway, as there was an additional glass wee on it. he changed this with a pencil entry and stood above the table while we paid. we took family members to this pub and its attitude, lack of civil society and general ignorance made this a very unpleasant experience. we will never visit the dog again, a once excellent pub restaurant ruined by its bad administration and high turnover of unfortunate and overworked employees."
