"I was recently invited to a business lunch at The Feathers, a restaurant I'd previously never been to. Upon announcing our arrival, we were met at reception by the Head Chef. He welcomed us and suggested we sit by the bar. The fire had just been lit which proved to be a warm welcome and contrasted the chilly day outside. We both chose the Crispy Windsor Pork Belly, which was a perfect choice! When the food arrived, the presentation was second to none. The pork fell apart on the fork, the crackling was exactly the right blend of size, depth and crunch, the black pudding sausage roll was perfect and the accompanying jus brought the whole meal to life. My compliments to the Head Chef and his team, and I will be back to The Feathers very soon!"

"On a visit to Blenheim Palace today we called in for lunch. The atmosphere was lovely; the food and service excellent. The young lady waitress was really friendly and professional she was really helpful. Nearby activities: Blenheim Palace is well worth a visit. Walkability: 10 minutes walk from Blenheim. "not locally to witney we were not aware of the hand and the shears until it was recommended to us for lunch when we were in the opposite on a cold winter day. quiet there, half this afternoon, and they placed us through the log burner who kept us very tortured. I had chicken and leckagepis and my wife had a sausage sandwich so that she would also have a place for apron pain and pumpkin. everything was really skurril, including the chips that were about the best we ever had. the torte was homemade and very fleshy, the brot of the sandwiches of my wife was also homemade and surprisingly very light. may they be back in the opposite, so soon they want to fall into dinner, we discover lobster on the menu can not wait. ps the sausage sandwich was actually quite filling out so I had to help my wife with the apple crumb, also quite fab."

"Overall a lovely night and great food. The Good: Some of the best fish and chips I 've ever had outside of Yorkshire; wonderful ice cream selection; cosy environment; welcoming staff; reasonably priced food; good wine list The Not So Good: There only seemed to be one drinks menu in the entire restaurant as it had to be passed around the tables (a little frustrating and time consuming ; we arrived at 8pm to find most of the menu had 'sold out '; only a set menu is available on Sundays and there is no warning of this on either the website or the booking confirmation; finally, we asked staff to book a taxi for us back to our hotel and whilst they obliged we were booked into a private chauffeur firm with a min. spend of £40 (ridiculous for a 10 minute drive! with no warning or choice on our part"

"my wife, I go all the time to the jolly boatman, then a beautiful walk with our hahnenhahn along the canal. good food at a good price. have some of the comments about dog poo must admit, I have never seen in the garden. I would say that this irresponsible owner is a problem everywhere. I'm sure if the personal would be made aware that they would clean it up. as usual pamper the acts of some dog owners for the rest of us, and hopefully they will continue to bring our dog."
