Really refreshing to find a village with a thriving pub these days...excellent food Thursday to Sunday all home made with locally sourced produce. Brilliant landlord made us feel very welcome. Recommend highly.

Lovely village not too far from York city centre but far enough for peaceful stay. Lovely renovated inn serving very good quality food in lovely surroundings Staff very nice, helpful and friendly. Drop in sometime. Highly recommend Thanks, Alan

My family and I stopped by the Black Swan for a celebratory drink on Sunday and had a very relaxing time. We were fortunate enough to enjoy the sun in the beer garden. The selection of ales was excellent as usual, and the staff were very welcoming. We will definitely be returning soon. Speisekarte ansehen

I went for karaoke night and was instantly made. Welcome by landlord and regulars , there was a busy restaurant part too up to 9 o clock and food I saw coming out was of highest quality , just a lovely country pub with friendly homely atmosphere with great food n beer , highly recommend

We needed somewhere to get an evening meal locally without having to leave Eastrington. The Black Swan fitted the bill perfectly. It doesn't serve food at lunchtime on weekdays. It only has food on Thursday and Friday evening and at the weekend but the food is very good here. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

I visited this restaurant for the first time since the country started coming out of lockdown and I have to say the food and drinks were just as great as they were before. It didn't seem like anything was lost during the months that they were closed. If anything, the atmosphere and sense of community in the village has actually improved and the food was absolutely fantastic. I went to this restaurant with some friends for an evening meal and a few beers. It happened to be Burger Night, but if you're looking for bland, tasteless, mass-produced burgers then this is not the place for you. However, if you prefer freshly made, home-cooked, flavorsome food, then you must visit this place. The food is all homemade, full of flavor, and the range of options is impressive. We ordered six plates and they were all delicious, followed by six portions of cheesecake which were also fantastic. In summary, this is a friendly pub with great service, excellent real ales, and outstanding food.

First time visiting here as we have recently moved to Gilberdyke we were looking for somewhere near myself,husband 9 week old puppy Billy were treated like old friends as soon as we walked in!The owner/landlord greeted us warmly , as requested when booking over the phone he seated us in a quiet corner as I am currently having chemotherapy for cancer didn’t want to be in a busy area. Billy was treated to one of Bernard’s treats (dog) which he enjoyed The food was delicious, a very clean well presented pub, nice chilled atmosphere, we had a starter each ,Sunday lunch plus we shared the nicest lemon raspberry bread butter pudding I’ve tasted in a long time Thank you so much we will be back ve...

Popped in for a meal as a break from cooking as I will be cooking all Christmas for Family, was not disappointed. We all had a different meal, 2 different pies and 2 different burgers, all really well presented and very tasty plates of food, the chips seemed like twice fried and were fantastic. The hand pulled beer was in tip top condition and thoroughly enjoyed, nice to see three on tap in a small village. Atmosphere was fantastic as you would hope for in a small village just before Christmas, if you are visiting the area then I strongly recommend this pub for some really great and cheap plates of food, seriously cheaper and better food than some of those big chain pubs that can be found in...
