The Boat Yard Tea Room

After a lovely walk along the canal this is the perfect pit stop, we had a beautiful vegetable soup with lovely crusty toast. We will be back

We frequent this wonderful little restaurant next to the canal often. The food is delicious, and their toasties are exceptional. A visit is definitely recommended.

A cosy barge at the canal ..outside seating some undercover… picnic tables etc .. a delight after a lovely canal walk ..excellent value tasty hot food .had the best ham cheese toastie and latte ..highly recommend …

Great food, a proper fried breakfast. My only grumble was that it is a bit cramped inside. Great for sunny days (as it was when the three of us visited) we ate at a picnic bench just outside. The outdoor seating in the sun made the trip worthwhile. Speisekarte ansehen

I can't find any faults with the service or management at this restaurant! Our scout group arrived to go canoeing on the canal on a rainy Sunday. The man cooked us all delicious hotdogs and made sure the leaders had plenty of hot coffee. He was extremely friendly and accommodating. Thank you!

I arrived on a rainy Sunday afternoon around 3:45 pm to check if the café was still open. I had heard rumors that the café would be shutting down and all boat mooring would be stopped due to a redevelopment project by the waterways board. I really hope this isn't true because the boat café is a popular spot not only for boaters but also for visitors from far and wide. I have visited many times and always enjoyed good food without any issues. I look forward to visiting again soon.

I love this little caff. In a world of that's full of bland shops, boring restaurants and resentful service this place is real and alive and full of character. Great breakfasts, good cakes and always super friendly. I've never come in here and not had a chat with the team behind the counter, or with the others being served. Honestly, going for a walk along the canal and then a cup of tea, eggs on toast, maybe a scone simple pleasures really but can't beat it and sadly, you can't find this sort of place elsewhere anymore.
