"What a great find Finding anywhere in Quorn or Barrow on Soar with a half decent vegan menu left us with a choice of 1 The Moorings. Menu Plenty of vegan options and dishes they’ll make as a vegan option … 2 loaded fries dishes, 2 nacho dishes, 2 burgers, most of the sides and 3 pizzas but they’ll happily make a vegan pizza of your choice. Warning … big portions … Loaded fries £8 We had the chucky chips topped with roasted bell peppers, caramelised onions smothered in melted vegan mozzarella. Huge mounded plate that did not disappoint. Spiced spinach burger £13 Broad beans, peas spinach in breadcrumbs with vegan cheese and a vegan garlic mayo if a soft bun. It came with skinny fries and a mountain for fresh salad leaves like rocket and spinach. It wasn’t ‘spiced, and didn’t pack a lot of flavour but it tasted very nice. Sloppy Giuseppe pizza £14 Mixed bean chilli on a vegan mozzarella base with jalapeños. The dough was amazing, the vegan cheese was good and the chilli spicy. It was a spot on. We tried to finish the lot but after an hour and half we conceded taking the remaining pizza away in a box they provided. The place was packed but there’s plenty of room between tables. If the weather is nice (it wasn’t) it would be great to sit by the river."

Nice place to stop and grab a drink, pizza's were great and a good selection of beers. Best thing is the view though, great to watch the world go by

Blown away my expectations, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, meals were delicious! For the level of service and food quality I would rate this as one of the best `bang for you buck' restaurants in the area.

Stunning! A lovely pub. Great choices of drinks and meals. Lovely atmosphere with wonderfully designed décor. The toilets have custom made taps which is really cool. Staff are so lovely, supporting and work well as a team. Outside there is the canal with a nice view and plenty of seats and a fair bit of parking space. Will 100% go again

After the round of golf on March 3rd, 2024 in the reopened boathouse. As expected, after a wonderful day with bright sunshine, well attended. Waiting times for a drink were 30 minutes and another 30 minutes for a cold dish. The service staff was completely overwhelmed, sometimes unfriendly and absolutely understaffed. There is still a lot to do in management. It's a shame about the attractive location.

Christmas decorations are up nice and bright. Not a massive atmosphere as went in on a Monday lunch. New menu not massive but the food is beautiful mushroom stilton and pine nut starter awesome. If you love pizza this is the place for a stone backed wood fired pizza. No rush especially on this lunchtime. Once the summer is back will be looking forward to a seat by the canal with food good company and something alcoholic. Before then we'll be back and hope to get a seat near the real fire. Well worth a visit!
