Lovely, warm, friendly pub, great staff, beer and food. Sticky toffee pudding a must, but one between two is enough!!!!

Bluebird ale, love it! Had a Steak, ale mushroom pie; very nice indeed, though the gravy lacked body (Better gravy at the Talbot Bar! My hubby's ploughman's looked incredible though, know what I'm having next time...

A lovely old Lakeland pub, with comfortable clean rooms, good beer selection, good wholesome food, friendly and attentive staff and sensible prices. A place for nice people who don't have expectations beyond their budget!

This is one of the best pubs in the stunning Lake District. There's no television, no music, and no gaming machines, but the beer is exceptional, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the accommodations are excellent.

Currently staying at The Britannia Inn, extremely busy place, i take this as a good sign. Food is amazing, never experienced such a feast of a breakfast like the one here. Lovely room, although a popular drinking place rooms were quite.

We had an absolutely perfect meal for my wife and me. As always, the staff provided first-class service, and everything was spot on. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy, warm, and friendly pub in the heart of the scene, even if it's just for a pint.

we just enjoyed 2 weeks at night in bride. room 3 in front of the pub is great with its enormous bed and the separate bathroom is not a big problem. very dog friendly what was great for us. it is very busy at the meal times, but from good ground and the place is so well run and the staff so friendly and efficient we loved every minute. we are going back to the final. highly recommended.

This is one of my favorite pubs in the world! I've been coming here for 34 years. They have excellent beer and great food—I highly recommend the lamb shank; it’s truly wonderful (is "ponciness" even a word?). The staff is lovely, and the atmosphere and location are unbeatable. They have a constantly changing beer selection along with classic favorites; my personal favorite is Bluebird. The outdoor huts are also beautiful, and the staff goes above and beyond to help out whenever we have a request.
