"After a difficult uphill walk from the Manchester road (doing physio for a recent knee operation). I was so glad to see the welcoming pub sign. It's wasn't open yet (which was also a bonus as we could rest for 10 minutes). Lol After a very friendly welcome, drinks served and food arrived swiftly. Proper home cooked, fresh, tasty and hearty food. We both ordered the Hot Roast Beef sandwich and chips! Perfect fuel for my walk back home! Superb and well recommended guys!"

Lovely country pub with delicious food. Warm and welcoming atmosphere and even a few little beef cut offs for our dog Willow. Big car park too!

Last night, I had a great dining experience at this restaurant. The food, service, and overall value were excellent. I highly recommend this place! They have early bird specials and themed events every weekday!

I stopped in for a pint during a long Sunday walk and had a lovely experience. The food was great, and the staff were fantastic. They even gave our dog a generous piece of turkey for the walk home. Definitely worth a visit!

Our second superb meal. Went slightly overboard and as a result can't really move, but both enjoyed every bite. Excellent duck and predictably good bolster moor sausages. And bailey's cheesecake. And lemon tart. And a good pint to boot.

First visit. Beautiful food, top quality. We are so glad we visited for our anniversary. Everyone looked after us so well and our Waitress was so sweet. We look forward to another visit and highly recommend everyone to visit. Outstanding..

My family and friends came here for Sunday lunch and we all like the Sunday roast alot. I think it's the best Sunday roast I have had so far. Soft meat, well roasted sweet veg and the gravy is fabulous (I like thick gravy). Really enjoyed the meal and will come back. Highly recommened

I had an excellent experience with both the food and hospitality at this restaurant. We asked if we could stay overnight in our camper van in their parking lot, and they were very accommodating. I highly recommend the chicken liver parfait as a starter and the gammon as a main course. They offer special meals from Monday to Friday, and I'm definitely looking forward to visiting again!
