I know the breakfast here is 10000% amazing but the lunch is on top of the world. The jacket potato is very moorish and so delectable my husband says the captains burger is the best burger he has ever had.

Situated on the harbour arm, this cafe has an extremely varied menu, from breakfasts to fish, burgers, jacket potatoes and sandwiches, pannini's etc. These are all reasonably priced, cooked to order and the portions are huge. Excellent value for money.

absolutely excellent food, have been back twice in 2 weeks now and both times first class food and service, even though i just have ham 2 eggs and chips and friend has the most perfect burger ever, it could not be cooked better than it is, all food is locally sourced where possible, i cannot praise it enough so well done all at the captains table

Poor hospitality and customer Service. Once entered the bistro, We Where about to grab some coffee. As there was a queue We decided to use the facilities instead of waiting. We Where asked to leave 2 minutes after entering and told to ask to use wc next time. THE LADY ENTERED TOILET IN THE MIDDLE OF USE. Well, after this unprofesional behaivior of one of the staff members 100% not coming back.

We happened on this little restaurant by chance! Originally we were only going to have a coffee, sit outside and enjoy the sunshine! We looked at the menu out of curiosity and were pleasantly surprised by the choice and the very reasonable prices. We both had Paninis which came with a very tasty and well presented salad. It was gorgeous! The staff are all very nice and the inside is spotless. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

I went to this restaurant with 33 students and we definitely put the kitchen and waiting staff to the test! The food was great, with proper full English breakfasts and unlimited extra toast. I enjoyed some delicious cups of tea, and everyone else was happy with their drinks. Despite some students changing their orders at the last minute, the staff remained patient. We were even not charged for a breakfast that was cancelled after it arrived. The location near the harbour was nice, allowing us to watch the tide coming in. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a good-sized restaurant, right on the quay, with exceptionally, pleasant, helpful staff. It caters for disabled people and is dog friendly, unlike the Harbour Inn. Service is rapid, even on busy days and there is a good selection of food available. My only complaint is that there is a very poor menu for vegetarians and vegans. I chose the meat-free breakfast (served all day) and this is ok if you like potato and beans. I could be mistaken, but it seemed that in addition to the two hash browns, the bubble and squeak pattie and the deep-fried vegan sausage seemed to be made out of the same mash.
