Superb meal under new management and the new front of house team and menu really pleased we bobbed in tonight for dinner (without a booking) great service, great food! Toilets still need a refurb but otherwise overall great value. Well done to the new team. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Great food, terrible selection of cider let's it down. I'd love to see either a local Lancashire cider or something that isn't the super sweet Bulmers Strongbow usual. Heard a few good things about the new owners and the food at the Clifton so we thought why not. They didn’t let us down. The food was really good. We went for Sunday pm and had the beef and chicken Sunday dinners. Both delicious and cooked perfectly. My son has a children’s pizza, it was fresh doe and seemed stoned baked, really nice. We will definitely be back. Thanks team Clifton, our new local family meal place. And when the Beaver town pump is up and running I’m defo back there.

There were four of us dining, and the service was excellent—attentive but not overbearing, and just the right amount of friendliness. As for the food, we all agreed it was the best meal we’ve had in quite some time. Two of us ordered the linguine, while the other two had the belly pork—both dishes were delicious! There was no rush to leave; we enjoyed dessert and drinks while having plenty of time to catch up with one another. Kudos to Clifton Arms; we look forward to returning the next time we’re in town!

What a fantastic little pub! The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. Everything was excellent—there wasn't a single issue. For starters, we enjoyed garlic bread and salt and pepper chicken strips with sweet chili sauce. The chicken was very fresh, and the coating was wonderfully crispy. For our main courses, I had the cheese and onion pie with beans and triple-cooked chips, which was delicious; the chips reminded me of classic ready salted Walkers crisps. My partner had the steak and ale pie with fresh vegetables, and she declared it one of the best pies she’d ever had. We will definitely be returning regularly! Speisekarte ansehen
