Very happy to call the Coach and Horses my local. Brilliant pub, love everything about it!. Great beers, food, traditional/modern vibe at the same time, excellent beer garden. The area is blessed with some decent pubs and this is the best

The Monday quiz is exquizite, the atmosphere is friendly and wholesome. The food oh my goodness the food, had such a wonderful Sunday roast one time, big portions, couldn't finish it. Also escape rooms upstairs are a great activity to segue into hanging out at the pub.

What can I say. Thank you Tom and your staff for such a lovely welcome for a funeral tea. Your help with then menu and your amazing staff producing such wonderful food all cooked fresh and hot. Your bar staff so kind and understanding. Been a long time since I have been in Leyton but when I am I will pay a visit to the Coach Horses. Thank you to all. XXX Speisekarte ansehen

Second visit now... another yummy Sunday roast. Large portions, tasty, well seasoned meats... perfectly cooked vegetables... Incredible selection, we were served, roasted sweet carrots, roasted parsnips, sweet red cabbage, broccoli stems and huge roasted potatoes. Lots of seating areas, outside, inside. Back and front of pub. Clean, well kept. Staff all incredibly helpful and friendly. Very highly recommended.

Really nice pub with hard working staff and a nice friendly vibe but I do think the food is a bit overpriced £18 for a pretty basic roast. Either make it cheaper or make it more of a feast). And the vegan Wellington is really poor just puff pastry filled with some pretty limp veggies. With vegan wellingtons, really needs a substantial filling otherwise it’s just a soggy mush! Please make better and we’ll be back every week

Went for Sunday roast. Pretty empty, maybe 4 or 5 tables taken when we arrived. They asked us to move tables to accommodate other guests which was fine but then forgot our food ticket and didn’t realise until we chased them. They rushed through the food which arrived tepid and we were warned about hot plates (which were barely warm). When we finally got the food the kids were hungry so couldn’t do much about it. Mistakes happen but this place is full of them in our experience. Shouldn’t of given it another chance after the shambles when it first opened but thought new management might of sorted things out. We had such a terrible time and the staff were so rude to us. Our food didn’t show up for at least an hour but it was a game day so fair enough it was busy and orders get lost. However when we asked the staff where our food was they just shrugged. When we asked for a discount or a free drink to apologise they said no. When we asked to reorder they couldn’t tell us how long it would take. So we asked for a refund (having paid at the bar originally) but the manager wouldn’t give us a refund without a receipt (which we weren’t given). Some of us were eventually given a refund after we could show bank statements, but not all of us had good enough phone signal so lost out.

We had booked a table for three for Sunday lunch. This was right next to the toilets which wasn’t the nicest setting. Front of house staff were very friendly and we ordered roast lamb £17) and roast beef £17.50) An hour later, we asked where the food was we were told the chef hadn’t come in so there was a long wait on food but it would be out in six minutes. After another 40 minutes we decided to call it a day and go elsewhere, but the food arrived as we were standing up to leave. The portion of meat on the plate was tiny, and there wasn’t much in the way of vegetables either two potatoes, one carrot and a piece of broccoli). Booked a table for Sunday lunch, arrived to a small table by the toilets. Half the pub is jolly families out for lunch, the other half is dead eyed old geezers staring into an afternoon pint. We were in the old geezer half. We ordered roast lamb £17 each) and then waited, and waited... and waited. We gave it about an hour before asking when our food would arrive, the stressed waiter explained that they were very busy but that it wouldn't be long. We waited another 45 mins before asking again at the bar no one updated us as to what was going on). The lady behind the bar said that our food would be 6 minutes...
