"I've dropped into this bar on two visits to Huddersfield, as I'm a sucker for a craft ale bar, and this one is set up with some great beers. Both times--late afternoon and fairly empty--I found it a soulless, uncomfortable place to drink in on your own. This is all very subjective, I know, and I'm still going to rate the bar well--all credit to the owners for running this type of place in Huddersfield. But the large, high-ceilinged, brightly lit, pale-painted, square, near-windowless bar room, with its tables set out as in a works canteen or hospital dining room feels to me the opposite of cosy. I'm sure it would be different with more people in, or if I was drinking alongside people less locked into their own thoughts. I suppose you could say the vibe is intentionally cool and modern, but then they were playing George Formby on the sound system, which ground on my nerves--if that's an ironic touch, it didn't work for me. But I'll try again next time I'm in town."

Love going to The Corner for lunch with my my hubby. We always leave full and very satisfied with our meals. Went again today and wow the fish pie was just delicious. Thank you very much.

We had a great evening at this restaurant. They have a wide selection of gins and real ales to choose from. The atmosphere is even better when there's a live band playing. We will definitely be returning.

Very friendly, good beer and tasty food! We had a mushroom kebab (vegan) and a chicken kebab. Both came with rice, salad, warm bread and a type of vegan alioli. Delicious and very reasonably priced. Will definitely return ! Thank you!

Visited here three weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon with frinds on a day out from Liverpool. Very impressed with the very helpful , friendly staff, the range of beers and the very good food (not to mention the very friendly Whippet! ,

This place is incredible, one of the top pubs in Huddersfield for both its selection of real ales and its delicious food! I have dined here numerous times and can't get enough of the Brisket Sandwiches. It's always my go-to spot to take friends when they come to visit. Speisekarte ansehen

This hidden gem is a fantastic find! The food is superb - locally sourced, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented every time. As a picky eater when it comes to cleanliness, I have no hesitation in giving this place a 10/10. The staff is also warm and friendly. Neil

I'd only ever called in for a quick drink once before and found it so welcoming and friendly.Me and my daughter went yesterday afternoon to sample the food.We were not disappointed.My daughter arrived slightly before me, but felt comfortable enough to wait inside on her own enjoying her Gin.We will definetly return.The brisket was to die for!!!
