"I regularly order from Shilpa’s and I am never disappointed. I think it is possibly the best Indian food I’ve ever had. I like that they do the classics, whilst also having extra interesting options to try. I recently tried the south Bengal fish curry...and it is now a firm favourite. Cannot recommend Shilpas enough!"

"This is my second visit in a year. The first time I picked the restaurant as it does a wide range of fish dishes and they did a good job. The second visit was very disappointing. I pre-ordered the surf and turf which was a.. special deal Well the one thing that made it stand out from the crowd was the size of the half lobster that accompanied the fillet steak. I'm surprised the lobster (Mrs P had the other half) was big enough to remain on the boat rather than being thrown back to let it grow a little more. It was also a little chewy and I felt ripped off. The steak was okay but I feel the meal was spoiled by the tiny lobster. The surroundings are quite dated but I went back the second time because the food more than made up for it; sadly that was not the case this time."

"very picturesque location for a village pub just a little disappointed by the food and service. a village pub still with a one way system and covid restrictions, we were unable to join two tables together for our party of 7 as it would restrict...access to the toilet even though we could have probably been sat elsewhere that wouldn't have caused an obstruction. We pre ordered food via Email and the landlord was very helpful and friendly with all of this. Upon arrival we ordered a bottle of wine with four glasses, all four glasses were very misty and dirty one particularly was filthy which I returned to the bar for a clean one, it was clearly cleaned out with a wet smelly dishcloth as the glass had a misty residue and disgusting smell to it. The food arrived and was warm and good size portions. however, three of the party ordered Gammon, egg and Chips and were a little disappointed to find the gammon was actually a cold slab of ham with some frozen peas and oven chips. Pie and mash was tasty and would recommend. however, I did find a small hair in my mash. Overall the atmosphere of the pub is lovely and the other food, crab salad, chicken and chorizo stew and Wagu burger were all lovely. Nice village pub friendly landlord"

"Booked last minute for 3 of us but early in the evening, so getting a table was no problem. The staff are friendly and the food was all really lovely. Just lost one star as there seemed to be a slight communication issue between waitress and kitchen. There was an issue with our starter that needed to go back to the kitchen, and the table in front had a similar issue with their main, that had to go back. So once that minor issue is resolved, it would be full stars, as the food was very yummy and everyone was very nice."

"Food, typical McDonalds fare and probably on the upper level of the McScale. Covid actions by the staff were really efficient, tables tidied and sanitized within seconds of them being vacated so full marks to them. Sadly I was very unimpressed by the investment at...corporate level. All seating in use and very crammed together. Unlike most respectable corporations, screening consists not of good clear perspex which can be efficiently wiped, but what appers to be cardboard/fibreboard. This is jammed between seat backs, is bending and creating spaces and on the seats facing me, the two families were having a conversation and even passing items through the join between boards. Toilet has notices saying only one person at a time but unless you have Xray vision to see through the solid door, how the heck do you know someone is already there as I discovered when standing at the stall and someone appeared out of the WC. floor signage is poor and generally this is not a site I would visit again during the pandemic."
