Having been to several restaurants in the area we keep returning to the George and Dragon the food is always great quality and we also feel covid safe as the tables are well spaced out and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

The food was good and the atmosphere was excellent. We did book but only on the day so not too far in advance. The pub was really cosy with the log burner going and my dog loved it. The bar staff were very friendly and made a fuss of the dog. Dogs are allowed to be in the bar area only, so if you are taking your furry friend make sure you tell them when booking to get the right area. Price per person: £20–30

This is my second visit in a year. The first time I picked the restaurant as it does a wide range of fish dishes and they did a good job. The second visit was very disappointing. I pre-ordered the surf and turf which was a.. special deal Well the one thing that made it stand out from the crowd was the size of the half lobster that accompanied the fillet steak. I'm surprised the lobster (Mrs P had the other half) was big enough to remain on the boat rather than being thrown back to let it grow a little more. It was also a little chewy and I felt ripped off.
