"My family and I haven't been to the george in a while as our last visit was quite dissapointing. However, things seem to be back on track now, and the food was back to being tasty whilst not leaving you emptying your wallet. I had the steak and ale cobbler for a main and it was very tasty but the cobbler was really dry and took all the moisture out of the dish making it hard to finish sadly. My dessert was amazing though- ginger toffee pudding and icecream was so so good and such a good portion to. I was beaten by it! Service was friendly but I think more staff are needed as the bar was left empty alot as the people working served food or took orders. Also didn't ask for drinks when providing dessert menu despite our glasses being empty. I think the layouts odd too- the large table was put my more intimate seats so all the noise from a big party of people washed over us on our smaller one! Made it hard to hear. The ladies also need some tlc- cracked tiles, lamps with flys trapped in, and a toilet that had the remains of the last visitor- maybe need a cleaning rota put in? Just small touches now I think and they'll be perfect again!"

"We came here for a Sunday Roast after hearing great things about this place and seeing pictures on Facebook. Needless to say it didn't disappoint. A beautiful pub in a cute village. Clean, well presented, and fast friendly service. The girls that served us where attentive and chatty. The food was excellent. We both opted for the Roast beef. I was so impressed with the meat. Melt in the mouth, cooked to perfection and piping hot. Crisp roast potatoes and big fluffy Yorkshire pudding. I work in the industry and can't fault this place at all. Very impressed!"

"I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and was impressed by the diverse menu offering everything from lunch snacks to full dinner a la carte. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. I will definitely be returning for another visit! On my second visit, I tried the pizza and it was absolutely amazing. The overall experience was top-notch, with fantastic food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for a meal, whether it's lunch or dinner. The price per person is also very reasonable, ranging from £10 to £20."

"I have visited this restaurant multiple times because I enjoy supporting local businesses, and I am happy to report that the food was delicious as always. However, the service was lacking during this visit. It was a busy Saturday night, but the young male waiter overseeing our table was not very attentive. Whenever I asked him questions, he would say he would find out but never came back with an answer, so I had to ask someone else. I understand that he may have been new and not expected to know everything, but I would have appreciated him finding out and returning to us. Despite this, I still love the restaurant and will return in the future. It is just disappointing that the service did not meet the usual high standards on this occasion."

"Beautiful food, beautiful setting and beautiful company. What a wonderful place and the staff were so helpful too, nothing was a problem and we were made to feel so welcome and the food was absolutely brilliant. This place is definitely on the list of going again, I wouldn't even hesitate on booking another table and taking some friends."
