Delicious Sunday Roast, lovely environment. The roast beef was divine, the Yorkshire puddings so lovely too.

Wonderful country pub, full of character and charm and incredible food and drink. The portions are so generous and the menu is extensive, with options for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Lovely Sunday lunch at the George. The food is always consistently good. The only downside was that the pub was packed and we were seated in the bar area which was very noisy and no privacy. We asked to be seated at another table and once one became available we moved much better. We will know in future to request a table in the restaurant

this is my favorite place to eat locally. Delicious eating, the sharing plates are a taste sensation. last time we took friends who were very impressed. they offer an extensive menu a beautiful wine list. steak service is great, one of the younger waitresses came last time really interested in how the food we had chosen was. instead of the standard “how is the food” because they were told to ask. best book

on Thursday is a call for lunch. Greeting was pleasant and efficient and we were sitting fast. service was also pleasant when a little slow (they were not busy) and eating was very nice, hot and good portion sizes obviously all cooked home to order as well. not the cheapest, but still good value. will I have come back?
