This was my first time visiting this restaurant and the food was amazing. The staff were so nice and I would give it 5 stars. I will definitely be back.

friendly staff, nicely presented good quality eating. but they need to ask for vegetarian options and not so many in the offer. other restaurants in the area have separate menus with more choice.

our first visit to lunch today with my son and his fiancée. such a tasty bite! a beautiful pub, with fantastic, friendly staff and excellent eating, inexpensive. will definitely return. many thanks for such a warm welcome today.

STARTER WAS VERY NICE,BUT MAIN COURSE WAS ONLY WARM.I HAD THE SAUSAGES AND MASH WHICH WAS NOT HOT AT ALL.MY HUSBAND PAID THE SUPPLEMENT FOR THE 28DAY AGED RUMP WHICH WAS THE CHEWIEST HE HAD EVER HAD.NOT IMPRESSED AS PRICES ARE QUITE PRICEY,WHICH IS NOT AN ISSUE IF FOOD WAS GOOD.HAVE NOT BEEN FOR A FEW YEARS,SO MAYBE CHANGES HAVE TAKEN PLACE.CONSIDERING WE WERE EARLY DINERS NO EXCUSE FOR WARM FOOD. This was our second visit. Again the food was perfect, beautifully cooked and presented. We both had prawn cocktails to start which were excellently fresh, no overload of lettuce or playing hunt the prawn. I had the lamb rump which was to die for and my husband had the sirloin steak again cooked to perfection. I had the bread and butter pudding with REAL custard and my husband the profiteroles. My compliments to the chef.

croc emma are both naturally friendly and welcoming as their waiting staff. they are attentive without being intrusive. eating is always great and freshly prepared by her chef. the ingredients are of high quality and come from renowned local well-known suppliers in its region. I always recommend it as the best restaurant in the opposite of witham and has never been disappointed after one of our visits, which I always look forward to visiting on every reason for lunch.

an evening meal for a special birthday party. party of 9, very well maintained. waitresses were amazing and a loan to the restaurator would no longer have been kind or helpful. always check whether eating, drinks, service was in order. all very polite and always with a smile. the food was as good as we expected, all served at the same time and all dishes were very delicious. a beautiful evening, good food, good drink, good business and excellent service. thanks for a great time!
