The restaurant has a really cozy atmosphere, but there aren't many options for sweet foods. However, the meat dishes looked beautiful.

I have been visiting The Cloak in Shorwell for a few years now. It has only changed ownership once in the past 15 years. My friend and I are staying in a neighboring village.

cracking place to go and eat while on holiday. great outdoors, if the weather is also beautiful with a pond and stream with huge fishing flapping around. that's always where we go when we're on vacation on the island. highly recommended!

The beer garden at this restaurant is absolutely stunning, complete with a steam and trout pond. The sunken bar adds to the beauty of the surroundings, although the service was a bit slow. The menu offers a wide variety of options to choose from.

visited beginning mai 2022 and pub still keeps friendly atmosphere it on our first visit 56 years ago. local very chatting and welcoming . they must visit when they are on isle of wight vacation. check the availability of food and not sure how much can be in the offer, but enjoy the character of this charming pub that used to be a trout farm ..

I have just come back from The Crown on a blissful sunny afternoon. Sat by the carp pond, I enjoyed the stunning chicken and chorizo tagliatelle (as recommended by the helpful management). Very well priced, great service and a haven of tranquillity and natural beauty at the heart of the Isle of Wight. *sorry the image doesn't show the food at it's best, I wasn't about to stop eating to take a picture!
